Thus it is. From the very beginning, it dwells in the great all-pervadingness. In the palace of the precious citta, It dwells in the support of purity, Like oil, resin, and wax. It abides in the realm of its own fivefold light. Its essence is primordially pure emptiness. Its nature is spontaneously present with radiance. Its compassion is awareness with power. It abides in the manner of the three wisdoms. From that, rays of light emanate, In the skull chamber, it is clear as the form of a wrathful deity. Within the channels, it is clear as bindus. It abides moving and flowing by the wind. Especially, Kati (Tibetan place name) has a crystal-like quality, Like fine white silk threads intertwined. Within these four, there are light and rays, Bindus, minute bindus, wisdom wind. By flowing, it shows the appearance of wisdom. The self-radiance of the light channels is like a string of pearls. That which is adorned with bindus, that is it. By the increase and purification of these, The karmic wind is exhausted, and the basic appearance is liberated. The primordially pure self-abiding is just like that. The way of abiding in wisdom has been shown (page 303). To know and then to realize, There are the three: base, path, and fruit. The base is awareness, bodhicitta, That which is obscured by the stains of the three doors. For the sake of purifying and ripening it, By the four empowerments, train your own continuum, The body with elaboration is trained into the essence body, Ripen and join with the ground of primordial purity. The speech without elaboration is trained into the nature speech, Ripen and join with the spontaneously present inner space. The mind of utterly no elaboration, Ripen and join with the space of wisdom. Utterly without elaboration, purify all obscurations, The wisdom body ripens, that is the four wisdoms. By the union of the fruit, there are the three wisdoms, By the purification of the three bodies, it is brought to completion, Obtaining the undifferentiated state of Kuntuzangpo. Therefore, ripen it with the four empowerments. The paths are Trekchö and Tögal. Trekchö is primordially the base itself, Whatever arises, let it rest in its own place. That also is transparent like crystal, Awareness is empty, clear, and naked. In the emptiness of the dharmakaya, cut through, The three wisdoms of arising, abiding, and being equal, Practice with the three great contemplations (page 304). Among these, first is the meaning of abiding, Not scattering outward to objects, not conceptualizing, That itself, in its own time, in awareness, With emptiness as the unborn dharmata, With clarity as the ungrasping state of the sambhogakaya, Awareness without conceptualization, the lord of the nirmanakaya. In the state of clear self-nature, Know that when abiding in its own place. That is the unwavering intention. Arising as the self-power of compassion, Know it through the four liberations. However it arises,

That awareness, because it is self-liberated, has no antidote. Because it is directly liberated, it vanishes in the place of seeing. Because it is arising-liberated, there is no before or after. Because it is primordially liberated, there is no basis for repetition. The key to self-liberation having no antidote is that whatever arises is self-liberated by itself. The key to direct liberation vanishing in the place of seeing is that whatever arises vanishes in that very place. The key to arising-liberation having no before or after is that whatever arises is liberated at this very moment. The key to primordial liberation having no basis for repetition is that whatever arises is liberated from the very beginning. For the yogi who understands this analogy, there is no need to deliberately abandon (305) conceptual thoughts. Self-liberation arises as the play of the Dharmakaya, because it appears as the power of great compassion. The blissful and expansive equality-wisdom, when it arises, remains in its own place. Just as when abiding, it arises from its own nature, it manifests as one without partiality. Thus, realization and non-realization are mixed together. At that time, the meaning of self-existing awareness, in whatever is not established, because it is free from grasping, is emptiness itself. Because it abides in self-existence, it is spontaneously accomplished. Because it is one in awareness, it is the only one. Everything is in the nature of self-arisen wisdom, just as the container and its contents abide in the nature of space. Self-appearance remains in its own place, unmoving. Non-existence, emptiness, is spontaneously accomplished. Because it manifests as the only one, it is exhausted in the primordial exhaustion. Because it does not deviate from the meaning of Kadag, it is the oral instruction on the meaning of Trekchö. From the time of no beginning and no end, because it abides continuously and equally, abiding, arising, and impartiality, the three, in the intention of the descent of Kadag, abide as the (306) essence of the meaning of Trekchö. That very thing, having realized it, whatever is meditated upon, samsara is liberated in the great realm of namelessness. It is the oral instruction on the certainty of great newness. The spontaneous sound of Tögal's nature, because it is practiced with the four lamps, manifest increase reaches its limit, and the appearance of exhaustion is completely exhausted. In the great inner realm of Kadag, it abides as the self-liberated Dharmakaya, the basis-appearance. These are the ways in which the excellent ones are liberated in this life. The middling ones, in the Bardo of Dharmata, in the nature of luminosity, union, and wisdom, when the spontaneously accomplished basis-appearance arises, are liberated by recognizing their own face. Because certainty is gained in the eight ways of arising, the six clairvoyances and the six recollections, and the constant samadhi, etc., are obtained. The lower ones are liberated in the primordial state through the eight ways of absorption. The lowest ones, because they have not grasped Dharmata, in the Bardo of existence, like a dream, only in the state of awakening from the path, by the self-force of seeing directly, the nature
