Byang Nyenpos: Ema fortunate ones, towards the center of the eastern sky, go further, further, further. (Recite three times) And also say, if you go, is there a place to go? Similarly, towards the south, west, and north, also change the names and recite, so that the experience of emptiness (151) free from conceptualization arises. Then, indicating the mandala: The lama raises his hand and points to the expanse of the sky, Ema fortunate ones, look at the expanse of the sky! (Recite three times) Then, indicating the deity: Wearing an upper garment, sitting in the vajra posture, the lama says: Ema, there in the center of the sky, direct your awareness towards the five (points of light) radiating light from the center of the sun, go higher, higher, higher. (Recite three times) Don't turn back! (Recite three times) This means that awareness dissolves into the expanse of the three kayas, which are pure from the beginning. Then, the actual empowerment is: The lama stands up, stretches out his right leg, bends his left leg, inserts two fingers into his two eyes, and recites Ā (藏文,梵文天城体:आ,梵文罗马拟音:ā,汉语字面意思:阿) in a stacked manner. Look towards the east, south, west, and north. Stretching and bending the legs is a symbol of cutting off the elaborations of samsara and nirvana. Inserting the fingers into the eyes is a symbol of wisdom arising from the eyes. (152) Looking in the four directions is a symbol of perfecting the four visions. A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) is a symbol of liberation into non-arising. Then, pointing the finger towards the sky, with eyes wide open, the sky is vast! (Recite three times) The sky is a symbol of the dharmadhatu. The finger is a symbol of the continuous stream of awareness. The wide-open eyes are a symbol of the way of seeing. Vastness is a symbol of wisdom that is free from elaboration and self-arisen. These indicate the actual basis of the empowerment. Third, praising: Having received the empowerment that is extremely free from elaboration, enjoy the realm of the dharmakaya, purify the obscurations of the mind. Obtain empowerment into the realm of the wrathful deities where the self-aware bhandha blazes. If you strive, you will be liberated in this life, and you have the authority to practice trekchö emptiness. If you don't strive, you are certain to be liberated in the bardo or in the future. After reciting this, hold a ganachakra feast. Thus, through the extremely non-elaborate, having obtained the supreme king of empowerments, may the Buddha's teachings flourish, and may all beings have happiness and auspiciousness! The extremely non-elaborate (153) empowerment ritual called the River of Wisdom. Atiyoga.

Pa. By Longchen Rabjam. The arrangement in the palace of Kuntuzangpo at the neck of Gangri Thökar (White Skull Snow Mountain) is complete. Auspicious! Auspicious! Auspicious! Homage! The empowerment ritual called "River of Blessings, Free from Elaborations" is presented. Then, to the glorious lord who perfects the two accumulations, Kunsang Chöje Lama, I prostrate with a hundred bows, and write this empowerment ritual free from elaborations. In an extremely secluded place, without concealment, adorn with a mandala offering of five sets of five and a torma. At the time when the sun rises on the mountain peak, the actual ritual is performed in four stages: Entering, Empowerment, Introduction, and Praise. First: The Lama asks, "Son, who are you?" three times. In response, the student says, "I am the fortunate, only son of the mind," three times. The Lama says, "If that is so, enter this mandala where mind itself has never been born from the beginning." The student, with palms joined, says: "O Lama, Vajra Holder, please consider me. I have long dwelt in the three realms of samsara, my memory faded. For the sake of transcending samsara itself, I entreat the Lama. For hundreds of thousands of eons, I have wandered again and again. The self-arisen wisdom of Vajrasattva, born from the mind of the Buddha, with its faults and roots completely purified. Please show me the sacred mind." Saying this three times, at the moment when the Lama allows one to gaze into his heart, the Lama asks forcefully three times, "What is mind?" The unutterable, empty awareness is the bestowal of wisdom. Second, of the three empowerments, the empowerment to enter the mandala of the Nirmanakaya: The students assume the posture of a lion, facing east, and focus their minds on the words. The Lama says: "Ema! Fortunate son of the mind, listen! In the eastern Pure Land of Manifest Joy, which is exceedingly beautiful, delightful, and pleasing, there is the perfectly complete Buddha, the Bhagavan Vajra Akshobhya. His body is white in color, adorned with jewels. Inseparable from his consort, on a single atom of his retinue dwell as many Buddhas as there are atoms. Each is their own teacher.
