That is, the alaya-vijñana of the original meaning is ignorance, accompanied by non-specified; the alaya-vijñana of the action meaning is the eight consciousness aggregates and accompanied by non-specified; the alaya-vijñana of the habit body is the obstructive light; the aggregates of name are the three aggregates and accompanied by non-specified. The Dharmakaya is emptiness and clarity, the originally pure awareness, beyond expression, the essence beyond good and evil, merit and demerit, like the sky. Among them, the essence is self-awareness, originally pure. The definition is the ultimate virtue of complete liberation, is the ultimate Dharma, so it is the Dharmakaya. It is classified into three types: the Dharmakaya of the essence of pure emptiness, the Dharmakaya of the self-nature of clear manifestation, and the Dharmakaya of great compassion, awareness and emptiness pervading, namely the three of essence, self-nature, and great compassion. The function is that the Dharmadhatu and wisdom are inseparable, so it is the basis for the liberation of samsara into Dharmata. The reason for the naming is that it is stainless, spontaneously accomplished, unobstructed in understanding, and the source of the Dharma of the manifestation of wisdom and the gathering of virtues, so it is called Dharmakaya. In short, the nature of awareness is like a crystal and a mirror of the sky, which is called Dharmakaya, the essence is empty but not annihilated, the self-nature is clear but not characterized, the great compassion is aware but not moved by thought. These are also as stated in the 《牟ติกཕྲེང་བ》 (Pearl Garland): Alaya-vijñana is accumulated, so the Dharmakaya is the exhaustion of afflictions, empty and bright, bright and pervasive, not stained by thought, not disturbed by memory, away from the nature of play, pervasive and empty like the sky, self-purified away from all appearances, the alaya-vijñana with cause and condition, like a ship accumulating habits, the Dharmakaya is away from habits, gathered by mind and so on, the alaya-vijñana of sentient beings appears as many, the Dharmakaya is away from mind and so on, so many forms are without body. Because the five elements appear in the arising body, the pure five lights are obscured by the five elements, the five subtle and coarse are the appearance of the realm, the five colors are also accompanied by dust. Because the knots of the Dharmakaya of the five elements are self-liberated, the five elements also appear as five lights, because the impurities of subtle and coarse are self-purified, the five colors are not mixed and clear, because the habit dust and the sky are self-purified, the five of the basis of wisdom appear in the light, the five lights of the object belong to the Dharmakaya.

. When the realm and consciousness naturally dissolve, the essence of the five elements merges into light. Therefore, distinguish between the essence and dregs of the elements. Thus it is said. Secondly, the distinction between mind and wisdom: Although mind and wisdom are one in the function of awareness, they can be divided into mind and wisdom in terms of their involvement in the faults and merits of samsara and nirvana respectively. First, the nature of mind is: the function of awareness clings to the apprehended and the apprehender, thereby generating the cause and effect of the illusion of samsara. In "Introduction to Self-Liberation," it says: 'Son of the lineage, all minds and mental factors are the dharma of samsara.' Thus it is said. Therefore, the nature of mind is the mind and mental factors of the three realms, with the appearance of false discrimination, which is the defiled dharma. In the "Two Truths," it is also said: Mind and mental factors are in the three realms, false discrimination has characteristics, and is discrimination. Thus it is said. In the "Entering the Middle Way," it says: When the mind ceases, it manifests the body, thus declaring the defilement to be eliminated. If distinguished, the mind is the eight aggregates of consciousness, and the mental factors are fifty-one. The definition is: thinking about the apprehended and the apprehender, therefore it is called mind (Sem). The reason for the etymology is: what is thought about, by what is thought, what is thought about, for these three reasons, it is called mind. Also, the root of mind is the radiance of wisdom, and the awareness of the realm by the movement of wind is the function of wisdom. The immovable nine movements are the nature of wind. Like a blind man riding a cripple, so it is. How to distinguish these with secret instructions? That is, the support, place, path, door, function, and fruit are established as separate. In the "Tantra of Introduction to Self-Liberation," it says: Secret Lord, the support of the mind is the upper abdomen of one's own flesh and blood body. The place is located in the lungs. The path is connected from the lungs to the throat by a thin tube like a blade of grass. The air moving upward from there is the path of the mind. The doors of various desires are the two nostrils, a total of three. The consciousness of desire arises from this. The nature of the mind itself is that it has discrimination, and the breath (453) moves in and out, this is it. Son of the lineage, all minds and mental factors are the cause of samsara. Thus it is said. The nature of wisdom is non-discriminating consciousness, its own radiance has self-arisen five lights, from cessation
