Regarding the realization arising manifestly in an instant within oneself: The practice of Tögal involves first completing the four empowerments. Then, using either of the two methods of accomplishment mentioned above, one performs the three practices of distinguishing between samsara and nirvana as fuel and ash, with the preliminary and main practices of the instructions. First, one performs the practice of distinguishing the body as fuel and ash, reaching its signs and measure. Then, one performs the practice of distinguishing speech as fuel and ash, and after reaching its signs and measure, one performs the practice of distinguishing the mind as fuel and ash. These have two supreme purposes and two common purposes, making a total of six. After that, one performs the three settling practices: By settling the body (382), there is the necessity for the increase of the aggregates, elements, sense bases, and bodhicitta. Then, by settling the speech, it transforms into the meaning of non-fabricated expression, and there is the necessity for the exhaustion of discursive thoughts of words. Then, by settling the mind, there is the necessity for liberation from the object of conceptual clinging. After that, the main practice: how the meaning of non-leakage relies on the continuum of the yogi has four aspects: First, holding the essential points of body, speech, and mind. Then, relying on the three essential points, how the meaning of the manifest nature of reality relies on the continuum of the yogi. And how appearances arise from that. And the instructions on the final support. First, the essential point of the body should not deviate from the three postures. Furthermore, the wisdom of awareness abides in the body. If one does not hold the essential point of the body, it will not appear manifestly. For example, like the limbs of a snake existing but not being seen if they are not restrained. Then, cutting off speech. Furthermore, the order in which speech should be trained is to first train in short sessions, then train in long sessions. (383) Even when there is no need to speak, one speaks. Then, the abiding of speech is: one does not prohibit one's own speech, mantras, praises, sutras, and so on. One does not utter even a single syllable to others. At that time, one should not make even a slight gesture with the body. By doing so, the meaning that cannot be expressed will definitely arise in the continuum. The wise Vimalamitra said, "If a yogi can cut off speech, then he can practice the Dharma." The essential point of the mind should always be practiced without separating from the three essential points. Furthermore, in the essential point of the door, one should practice without separating from the three ways of looking. In the essential point of the object, the external form should not be separated from the sky. The internal

Focus awareness on the lamp of perfectly pure form; the key to the winds is to rely on slowness and project far outward, that is the key. The key to awareness is to imprison the stream of consciousness. There are three ways to do this: First, when the lama bestows it on the disciple, there is the way of giving the face-to-face Kamala, as well as giving instruction, and giving complete shaking. (384) By giving instruction, there is no doubt that one will master it in one and a half months. That is, first, shorten the sessions and increase the number; second, lengthen each session and maintain continuity; then, practice half day and half night, and the four appearances will arise, and their signs and measures can be known elsewhere. That is, the appearance of the direct perception of reality is: the lama says, "Do this key of the body, use the key of speech like this, focus the mind on this key!" Thus, after summarizing and pointing out these three words, one directly sees it, thereby freeing the mind from the proliferation of words. In the emptiness of space, reality is directly perceived, without being defiled by any conceptualization, that is it. Practicing like this, after some time, the lamp of the empty bindu will arise effortlessly. Then, from the colors and shapes of the five wisdoms onwards, up to the bindu and the deity, are the appearances of increasing practice. That is, the five colors stand upright, radiate in all directions, as well as rainbows, (385) triangles, and like regions and so on. The shapes are accumulated stupas, thousand-petaled lotuses, tents, multi-eyed patterns, meshes, nets, half-nets, and so on. Then, when the five-bodied appearance is complete, awareness reaches its peak. Then, these increase and decrease, and the thought of clinging is liberated in itself, which is the appearance of the exhaustion of reality. When the four appearances are completed in this way, the fortunate one will definitely attain Buddhahood without the appearance of the contaminated aggregates. The fourth is the ultimate reliance mantra: establish the foundation on the three immovables, measure with the three abidings, and nail down with the three attainments. These arise as the backing of the predecessors. These are the instructions on the method of practice. Now, the ninth is the instruction on the degree of practice: the degree of mind is that even if one experiences the suffering of hot and cold hells, there is no fear, originally it is not
