It is related to the fourth chapter and is a guide to the two aspects of the sixteen hand seals. Furthermore, although there are many stages of hand seals, they are all included here. It is said in the book of instructions that one should do it like this (233). First is the preliminary practice, then the main practice of settling the mind, then the gradual realization of direct perception, and then the explanation of the support for generating faith, along with the signs, standards, and fruits of practice. First, when practicing, one can receive empowerment through empowerment with characteristics, or through other tantras. After receiving the empowerment well, rely on the guru, and in order to generate certainty and the entry of blessings, the guru yoga is: From this Vajra Path, it is shown that every session is the root of blessings. Therefore, on the crown of one's head, on the seat of the sun and moon, visualize the guru and all the Buddhas as inseparable from Vajrasattva or any other deity. From his thumb, a stream of bodhicitta flows and dissolves into the Brahma hole at the crown of my head. By praying to him, the four chakras of the body are gradually filled, and the body and mind are intoxicated with uncontaminated bliss (234). If you rest your mind in this state, the body will be happy and the meaning of the nature of reality will arise in the mind. It is said, so practice in this way. During the session breaks, do the illusion wheel of the body, the three vajra points. Join the soles of the feet together evenly. Join the palms of the hands together at the crown of the head, visualize the body as blue vajra, and if you remain in this state, you will be protected. It is said, so do it for one session each time. The section on preliminary practices, this is the first part. Then practice purifying the mind. There are seven aspects: the seven purifications in the text, the seven necessities of purification, the seven standards of accomplishment. Although they are taught in sections in the text, here they are taught as practice: First, both the teacher and the student should make their bodies comfortable, offer a mandala to the guru, and then the guru should teach. First, contemplate impermanence and practice bodhicitta: From beginningless time, we have regarded the illusory appearances of samsara as true and permanent, and this has become the cause of wandering in samsara. Therefore, remember impermanence. That is, after one is born, one gradually (235) approaches death and will surely die. Remember the death and separation of parents and relatives.

should be done. Thus, for those who have died and will die, whatever benefits can be done should be done. Furthermore, even now, many moments have passed, and one is close to death. All sentient beings, not knowing such impermanence, although they do many things hoping for permanence, all must be abandoned, and they fall into the lower realms and experience suffering. Knowing this, one should cultivate renunciation. When one turns away from samsara and a decisive impermanence arises in the mind, that is the measure of stability. The second is to cultivate the mind of enlightenment by thinking about temporary happiness and lasting happiness: Alas! The lower realms, hells, and hungry ghosts, and animals, have no happiness at all. Even the temporary happiness of gods and humans, although it is the result of giving, and also arises from discipline, will eventually perish (236), and it is said in all the scriptures that it will turn into a state of suffering, which is obvious. No matter who it is, the joys and pleasures they have previously enjoyed will change, and other pleasures are also impermanent, youth is also impermanent, power is also impermanent, food, clothing, wealth, everything will change, one should deeply believe this. It is necessary to obtain ultimate and lasting happiness from all of these. This is the true secret instruction of the Buddhas, cultivating calm abiding and insight, and cultivating compassion for all deluded sentient beings. By contemplating and cultivating in this way, there is a need to renounce suffering, which is the measure of seeing conditioned phenomena as suffering. The third is to cultivate the mind of enlightenment by thinking about various causes and conditions: Now, although all sentient beings desire happiness, the causes of happiness are few, the causes of suffering are many, the causes of death are many, and the causes of life are few. (237) In short, in this samsara, the actions done with body, speech, and mind are never idle for a moment, and are associated with many obstacles, but if one does not encounter the true path and does not practice it, then due to the causes of conceptual thoughts, these sentient beings will have no time to be liberated from samsara. I myself was deluded in the past, and other sentient beings are also very pitiful. By cultivating in this way, faith goes first, and there is a need to renounce samsara. Compassion arises for the sentient beings of the six realms, and if one makes offerings to the Three Jewels in one's activities, then
