Just as a lotus is unstained by water, the expanse of mind, like the mirror of the Dharmakaya, reflects and manifests all of samsara and nirvana, yet remains unstained and unchanging. This is the meaning of the two expanses, inner and outer. The expanse is the introduction to the essence of the Dharmakaya. Secondly, just as the colors of a peacock's tail are clearly and completely displayed in a mirror without being mixed, the meaning is that in the expanse of the Dharmakaya, self-arisen wisdom is clear, the essence of the Sambhogakaya, with body, bindus, sound, light, and rays, dwells in all sentient beings. It abides in the center of the self-arisen citta (藏文:རང་བྱུང་ཙིཏྟའི་དཀྱིལ།,梵文天城体:svayambhūcittasya mandala,梵文罗马拟音:svayambhūcittasya mandala,汉语字面意思:center of self-arisen mind). Faces and hands are complete, in the form of a vase body. Clear and unmixed, it is the essence itself. The path is the four channels, the moving winds. The manifesting gate is the two eyes. As it is said, along with the signs, it will naturally become manifest. Thirdly, the way the Nirmanakaya appears without interruption is: for example, a flawless crystal, when placed on white cloth or any other color, appears as that color, but the crystal itself does not change. Similarly, the Nirmanakaya appears in various forms according to the dispositions of those to be tamed, but the essence of performing compassionate activity does not change. The sign is that the six aggregates appear in various ways, but the clear awareness remains unceasingly. This is the introduction to the three Kayas, and the way of abiding of the expanse of wisdom, the three—essence, nature, and compassion—have three examples and three signs, making nine in total. If you want to make twenty-one, you can learn it elsewhere. This is the main part. The subsequent activities are: After that, with various different sounds, offer tormas to the Dakinis and Dharma protectors. In order to increase enjoyment, perform a tsok feast. Make offerings to the Lama. After that, the master shows the secret instruction of the unborn wind-mind, and has the disciples meditate. The empowerment without elaboration, composed by Garab Dorje, and the collection of its supporting text, the empowerment that purifies the channels and bindus. Compiled by Rangjung Dorje, it is complete. Although the Shang teachers have one mixed with elaboration, the refuge, bodhicitta, vows, etc., are the same as others, so they are not written here. The introduction of the mirror, peacock, and crystal is necessary, but those are not in those rituals, so they are written here. Extremely without elaboration.

Empowerment Procedure. Homage to the Buddha, the Bhagavan, who is free from all elaborations! Now, to reveal this extremely non-elaborate empowerment, the direct awareness of rigpa, there are three parts: preliminary, main part, and concluding part. The first part has two: the preliminary practices of the lama and the disciple. The first is that the disciple, possessing the qualities mentioned in the scriptures, who has the characteristics of worldly virtues, should be examined for three years to see if they are a suitable vessel at the time of requesting. Empowerment should be given to a maximum of three who possess the potential. At that time, one should receive empowerment from one's own lama, either actually or mentally, and begin the practices of body, speech, and mind, and meditate on the meaning of direct awareness of rigpa for at least twenty-one days, in order to lead the disciple onto the correct path. The second part is the disciple's (194) preliminary practices: abandoning worldly affairs, mastering the skillful means of secret mantra, pleasing the lama with three kinds of pleasing, and then requesting. The first step of the ritual is: bathing all the disciples with a mixture of various fragrances, flowers, and water and milk, and then sealing it with A twenty-one (Tibetan seed syllable). As a preliminary practice for purification, one must protect against obstacles, that is: the disciples stand in front of the lama, with palms joined at the heart. In order to dispel the lama's obstacles for the disciples: Remove the upper garments, Stand facing east. In order to protect the doors of the eight consciousnesses, Seal with eight letters (Tibetan seed syllables). On the crown of the disciple's head, Say the words, "Meditate on a Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum)." The lama, with clear samadhi, In the network of veins at the tip of the disciple's heart, Places the Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) syllable and awareness. Meditate on the navel chakra as a bluish-green Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum). The navel chakra is visualized as red, like a mixture of red and green. The throat is visualized as a smoky-colored Kham (Tibetan: ཁཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: खं, Sanskrit Romanization: khaṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Space). The forehead is visualized as a dark blue Ai (Tibetan: ཨེ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ऐ, Sanskrit Romanization: ai, Literal Chinese meaning: Ai). The secret place (195) is visualized as a yellow Su (Tibetan: སུ, Sanskrit Devanagari: सु, Sanskrit Romanization: su, Literal Chinese meaning: Su). The right knee is visualized as the Ha (Tibetan: ཧ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह, Sanskrit Romanization: ha, Literal Chinese meaning: Ha) syllable. Or, the soles of the feet are visualized as the Phat (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट्, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: Phat) syllable, As a terrifying form of bluish-black. This is in order to prevent the power of worldly obstacles from arising, And for the sake of the disciple's own eight consciousness aggregates, So that they will not arise in external objects in the future. Then, the last of the eight letters, the Phat (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट्, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: Phat) syllable, should also be recited in the mouth. Recite twenty-one times with each breath and exhale it towards the charnel ground.
