Saying the words, "Do not return again," then the lama stands up, in a posture of sitting with the right leg extended, presses his fingers against his own two eyes, says "Ah Ah," and looks in the four directions. Again, he raises his finger to the sky, stares at the sky with his eyes, makes a "Har" sound, and says in his mouth, "This sky is so vast!" He repeats this three times. Thus, when all these empowerments are completed, he asks everyone about their experiences. If one is fortunate, one will understand as it is (128). If one does not understand, by explaining the symbols, the lama's instructions will become sacred. After that, the instructions for realizing awareness directly are given, and practice begins. The empowerment for the fortunate, which is extremely without elaboration, is completed. This was translated into Tibetan by the Indian Abbot Vimalamitra. Those who enjoy elaboration should seek the larger, more detailed rituals of empowerment. Samaya. Gya Gya Gya. The Tika of the Empowerment Without Elaboration is concluded. Without transmission. Homage to the Bhagavan, the glorious Vajradhara, in whom all elaboration is pacified. The fortunate one, with a body of certainty, endowed with great faith, also for the meaning of the Great Perfection of Naturalness, in order to dispel confusion and open the gateway, adorned with the jewel-like ornaments of subtle vision, for the very purpose of perfecting the four empowerments, having explained that for the sake of those who enjoy elaboration, now also for the sake of being free from elaborations, (129) the essential point of the instructions for the Empowerment Without Elaboration is: Thus, one who possesses the samaya should definitely hold it. If a fortunate person is to perfect the four empowerments, or for those who do not enjoy elaboration, in this way, through the Empowerment Without Elaboration, this empowerment of the Great Perfection of Naturalness, if there are more than two or three fortunate individuals who are vessels, the breaking of the samaya will occur. Like this, one who has faith, whose mind turns away from samsara, who is naturally relaxed and naturally good, whose conceptual thoughts are small, who is content with little desire, is a vessel for the Great Perfection of Naturalness, therefore, empowerments are given to one or two, up to three, such disciples. Among these, first is the discipline of the preliminary practices, and the order of the main practices. After that, the disciple offers the request for empowerment to the lama himself, and in order to show (130) respect to him, requests the empowerment again from his own lama, and if the lama is not present,

The mother visualizes in the sky and mentally receives the empowerments free from elaboration. One should pray to the lineage lamas, and in order to purify the defilements of speech, one should become proficient in the three letters. In order to generate wisdom of the meaning of non-duality, one should meditate on the characteristics of the five wisdoms. In order to turn away from samsara, one should meditate on non-conceptualization. In order to be sustained by conduct, one should engage in twenty-one activities. In order to remember the meaning of the view, one should meditate on emptiness, etc., which are the preliminary activities of the teacher. Having thus performed the preliminary activities by the Vajra Master, the disciple who has faith is also blessed with the activities of meditating on impermanence (131) in order to turn away from samsara, and is made to meditate. He is made to meditate for five, nine, or eleven days. By meditating in this way, strong faith arises, and turning away from samsara, laziness is surely eliminated and liberation is determined. Then, the teacher explains the faults of samsara and the qualities of the Buddha, and the teacher and students go to a very secluded place, the place of empowerment free from elaboration, and the inside of the room is sprinkled with various fragrances, and the mandala is made round and smooth like the surface of a mirror. In the very center of it, a red vase is drawn with colored powder, complete with mouth ornaments and neckbands, round and smooth, surrounded by a wall of five colors. To the east of it, on a wooden throne, three precious vases without cracks, breaks, or dents are placed, filled with various medicines, (132) various fragrances, and filled with ghee and milk, etc., decorated with trees with fruits and flowers, and the necks are tied with three red cloths without stains. Thus, on top of each vase, three peacock feathers are placed, and three mirrors and crystals are placed. No less than seven butter lamps and food offerings, etc., are made. Then, the students are taken out from outside with the cleansing water of the activity vase, and dressed in new clothes, etc., well adorned with various ornaments, and seated properly in rows, in order to pacify obstacles.
