From the lotus pond of the two accumulations, endowed with eight branches, for the assemblies of many faithful bumblebees, without making a sacred feast of peace and happiness, where have you gone, great assembly of liberation qualities? Saying that the beings of the three realms are placed in peace, spreading a web of a thousand lights of benefit and happiness, making the path of beings wide and white, where have you gone, lord of auspicious days? In the midst of the retinue, the form is clear, the beautiful face of love is never satisfied by looking, the two hands of compassion protect beings, where have you gone, protector, orb of the autumn moon? From the water abyss of samsara, which is extremely difficult to cross, liberating to the other shore of the ocean of the three existences, and delivering to the precious island of peace, where have you gone, great ship, king of the hearers? From the beginningless time, being intimately accustomed, for the chronic disease of samsara, which is extremely difficult to purify, the master of all the soothing nectar medicines that pacify, where have you gone, king of the nourishing physicians? Unable to be illuminated by the light of the sun and moon, wonderfully dispelling the darkness of ignorance, possessing the liberation of wisdom and compassion in the sky of those to be tamed, where have you gone, unprecedented (491) jewel of the sky? The great deeds are the nature of compassion, not created by a trillion water-holding monsters, there is no equal to this earth, where have you gone, guru of immeasurable beings? In the nature of the unwavering, clear ocean, adorned with the crest of the wish-fulfilling jewel, the unequaled lord of dharma, who is the ornament of the earth, where have you gone, supreme guru greater than others? The form of the great accumulation of merit and wisdom is complete, just seeing it stirs the waves of faith, becoming the supreme field of merit for all beings, where have you gone, offering pillar of the world with gods? In the courtyard of the retinue, the sound of the Brahma-voiced lion roars, raining down the precious rain of the sacred Dharma, skilled at cutting the net of ignorance and doubt, where have you gone, guru of the drumbeat of wisdom? The nature of reality, the unwavering, vast expanse of meditative absorption, the clear light sun and moon, the vast expanse of intention (492), the state of the dharmakaya, always without difference between equanimity and subsequent attainment, where have you gone, guru who has perfected the realm of wisdom? Ah, the source of precious jewels! Where has the Lama, the ocean of virtues, gone? Having mastered the activities of pacifying, increasing, magnetizing, and wrathful,, Where does he guide the disciples with great deeds? Having expanded the clear light doctrine in the ten directions, Where has the powerful emanation of the Victorious One gone? Without looking upon us faithful beings, He is absorbed in peace in the primordial realm, Where has the compassionate and skillful one gone? Will there ever be a time when we see your face again? The place where the ultimate deeds are manifested, Do you not look upon the thousand worlds of virtue? In this place filled with suffering, piled up like a fire, Will you not purify it with the cool rain of compassion? If even the protector makes us hopeless, Who will be our refuge? Alas! Compassionate Lama, supreme refuge! From the realm of peace, extend your hand of compassion, We beseech you to guide all beings today, We beseech you to empty the ocean of samsara! Thus, with longing, we pray day and night, With reverence, we prostrate and always take refuge. May you always be the supreme guide for me and all sentient beings as vast as space, For as long as limitless realms and beings exist, Mentally visualizing them joining their palms, We prostrate with the fluttering of a thousand petals of faith, We praise with the ocean of limbs of praise. Protector of beings, you are so compassionate! The Lama who adorns the world appears today, Having clarified the doctrine of the clear light essence, I respectfully prostrate to the one who has gone to the realm of peace! Always holding samsara with compassion, Without passing into nirvana in one direction, With the ultimate deeds that benefit beings, I respectfully prostrate to the one who miraculously pervades the world! In the first month of autumn, in peace, From abandoning life in the sacred forest, Again, blessings and compassion are wonderful, I respectfully prostrate to the one equal to the deeds of the Victorious One! Where the protector passed into nirvana, That day and the forest shook, Untimely sounds and countless cymbals resounded, I respectfully prostrate to the one adorned with divine offerings! All directions are more beautiful than the good colors of autumn, In the sky of faith, five-colored banners are hung, Net-like, half-net-like, round brocade patterns, I respectfully prostrate to the swirling appearance that arises!
