And conduct is reversed. This is a great wrong path. Whatever suffering of all sentient beings, it is certain to ripen in this person's mind. Thus it is said. The three secrets of secrets are: not taking up view, meditation, and action, remaining in laziness and not paying attention, and not paying attention to the deity (416) of the yidam, and not paying attention to the lama, vajra brothers and sisters, etc. Thus, in Padma Klong Yangs it says: Whose mind's actions are immoral, to the dharmas that should be remembered, the practice of remembering is weakened, and the end of past and destroyed actions, one will experience the suffering of uninterrupted hell. Thus it is said. Also, in the Tantra of Taking the Essence of Co-emergent Near, it says: If you desire supreme accomplishment, you should not abandon the yidam. If you abandon the lama, you will lose accomplishment. Even if you practice elsewhere, you will not find it. Likewise, the vows made for the sake of Dharma, and the vows made in front of the lama, the virtue of thinking in the mind, if you abandon them, accomplishment will decline. Thus it is said. Also, in the Tantra of the Supreme Emptiness of Arranging Vows, it says: One should not transgress vows, one should not break the lama's promises, one should not reverse the lama's actions, and all of one's body, speech, and mind should not do anything other than Dharma. One should do the benefit of all sentient beings (417), always respect the lama, and not transgress the supreme vow. Hold the vajra bell, and hold the substances suitable for mantras. In general, in the root vows it says: For what should be kept secret and entrusted, and the teachings of internal promises, if one acts wrongly with speech and mind, this will also become a cause of uninterrupted hell. The special Dharma that arises from empowerment, should not be proclaimed to others, but should be practiced in one's own mind. For what harms the lama's mind, with body, speech, or mind, one should not do reversed actions. Likewise, for vajra brothers, the instructions that are more special than others, should be kept secret from others, and if one abides in one's own mind, it will become a supreme accomplishment. Therefore, one should not transgress vows. Thus it is said. Therefore, one should be skilled in the lama's actions, and if one is wary of the vows of mantras, then whatever accomplishment one desires will arise without hindrance. Whatever is taken as a yidam (418) and followed without contradiction, the desired meanings of this life and the next will surely be accomplished. Whoever does not transgress the vows made, the blessings of the lama and dakinis

Then the waves will surge in, and there will be no obstruction to anything. If you always maintain devotion and respect for the lama, and pray in the three times, then it is certain that a special bliss will arise in body and speech. If the devotion and respect of body, speech, and mind towards the lama waver, even for a moment, a while, a day, or in a dream, then after remembering, even if the lama is not present, visualize him in your mind, and confess immediately, then you will manifest and see many qualities of the Buddha. Therefore, you should know that the root of accomplishment is the lama. You should know that the root of samaya is the vajra brothers and sisters. You should know that the root of practice is recitation. The root of enjoyment is offering to the lama. The root of gathering retinues is to live alone (419). The root of pith instructions is to be fierce and long-lasting. The root of becoming a Buddha is one's own mind. The root of practice is being able to abide. The root of practicing Dharma is keeping silent. The root of goodness is abandoning one's own country. The root of Dharma is always abandoning friends and always relying on solitary places. The root of conduct is having no attachment or clinging to anything. The root of meditation is that afflictions dissolve in their own place. The root of view is severing the connection of samsara. The root of accomplishment is that all appearances are brought under one's control. You should know that the root of samadhi is the cessation of moving winds. If you want the essence of meaning to arise from the lineage, do not cut off the continuity of love for the lama and vajra brothers. If you want to gather dakinis, you should strive for tsok and torma. If you want to gather people and love them, you should always offer to the assembly of yoginis. If you want to please the lama (420), then be without hypocrisy in your own mind, and diligently study the qualities of the lama. If you want to remove the diseases of the body, you should recite the essential points of body and speech, and the letters of the chakra where the time has come. If you want to make the appearances of delusion disappear, you should merge awareness with the appearances of manifestation. If you want your own continuum to be undeluded and ripened, you should supplicate again and again. If you want it not to be separated from the mind, you should not transgress the samayas of the outer, inner, and secret vows. If you want signs to arise in body and speech, you should always strive in practice. If you want the thoughts of the mind to cease, you should know the time of the breath going in and out.
