Therefore, liberation in the moment. Therefore, this is mind, that is object. Thus, other than the self-liberation of mind and object, there is nothing else. Thus, with the above content, the first general meaning, the key point of Dharma nature being liberated in the moment, especially the manifestation of one's own basis, is explained by dividing it into three branch meanings. Now, explaining the second general meaning, with the distinction of the vanishing of Dharma nature, there is nothing that is not liberated, the first of the seven branch meanings is explained. For gradual practitioners, relying on uncommon practice, thereby explaining that there is nothing to grasp in Dharma nature is: as explained by those who want to practice (231) and so on. If gradual practitioners want to practice the meaning of Dharma nature, exhale from the mouth into the sky, and when abiding knowing the boundary of the vanishing of memory, from recognizing that all sudden thoughts will cease. To this, abiding at all times, one's own awareness will give rise to an experience of nonchalance, this experience has no measure of "is" and "is not", it will naturally manifest in one's own continuum. To this, continuously abiding, the various different flows of the mind, together with the breath, cease. Then, from where does it arise? That is first from the key point of the body, the body sitting in lotus posture or comfortably, or sitting like a lion. By acting in this way, at the key point of the mind, memory and thoughts naturally vanish, thereby severing the connection between self and other, this arises from oneself. Therefore, ultimately there is nowhere to go, so there is no danger of regression. This is the first. Now is the second, suddenly (232) recognizing memory and thoughts, explaining with a metaphor: for example, the clouds in the sky, although their appearance is sudden, their disappearance is also sudden. Similarly, various kinds of memories and thoughts, due to sudden causes, do no harm to anyone. Just as the sky is not covered by clouds. The flow of various thoughts in the mind is also like dirt or dust accumulating on a container. Just as the dirt on a container has no harm or benefit, there is no establishment of benefit or harm on Dharma nature. This also arises from recognizing that it is sudden. Similarly, memory and awareness etc. are all suddenly attached to the body, so there is no benefit or harm. Just as the dirt on a container cannot cause harm, there is no harm on Dharma nature, memory, awareness, and mind are also the same. This is the second content.

Now, the third content shows the nature of vanishing, cutting off the connection between body and mind. The self-vanishing of conceptual thought is like this: For example, where did the rainbow, which was bright and colorful in the sky, go? (233) Like vanishing into the sky without a trace. Because thoughts and appearances are sudden, they vanish without a trace of where they went. Just knowing that it is sudden, like vapor rising from the great ocean, and finally vanishing without a trace, various thoughts arise in a noisy manner, but it vanishes by itself like vapor, so there is no cause for where it came from in the beginning, and no path for where it goes in the end. In the middle, there is no basis for where it stays. Therefore, the mind, which sometimes appears to exist and sometimes appears not to exist, is the same. Because there is no place of origin in the beginning, there is no basis or root; because there is no place to stay now, neither cause nor nature can be established; because there is no place to go in the end, it is called the unborn, indefinable mind. This is like the externalists believe, it vanishes with time. Just knowing that the root of the mind does not exist, and not like magical powers or (234) dreams, it vanishes with certainty. Therefore, there is no benefit or harm caused by conceptual thought. Therefore, the body is not produced by the functioning causes of arising, so the mind has no basis, and even if observed, it cannot be seen. The body is not produced from the empty, indefinable mind, so there is no connection, because the body will remain and leave. In this way, because non-existent things appear, it is an illusory mind. Because it has the characteristic of non-existence, the illusory body is also impermanent, so it is like an illusion. Therefore, just as illusion deceives illusion, the mind without mind clings to the object without object. The above shows the third content, the nature of vanishing, and the connection between body and mind. Now, the fourth content shows that the Dharma of emptiness is self-known with examples. For example, like the sky of ignorance, from the wisdom of space, like clouds of afflictions are sudden. Although it appears, it does not stain it. Whatever conceptual thoughts arise, this is the path of the yogi (235) pure. For example, the sky has no place to generate thoughts, and it does not stay. Similarly, the nature of emptiness has no place to generate thoughts of memory, thought, and mind. If the thoughts of memory and thought are like the sky, then where are the one who is born and the one who gives birth?
