Even if, in that way, one demolishes with sectarian arguments and reason, it is impossible to turn back from delusion. For example, for one with jaundice, a skilled doctor does not need to explain with words; by opening the eye with an ophthalmic instrument and applying eye medicine (187), it is like seeing a white road with a conch shell. A qualified lama, without needing to elaborate with words, merely indicates the essential point, and the superior faculty is liberated in the first instant. The middling one, relying on understanding through the indicated essential point, is liberated in the second instant. Even the inferior one, through understanding, that is, comprehension, is certain to be liberated in the third instant. Therefore, one does not transmigrate in the three realms. Furthermore, for such an essential point, even for a sharp-witted and intelligent person, there is no benefit because it is not necessary to understand since there are not many verbal terms. Even if the dull-witted one is shown that essential point, it is impossible not to understand. This is also because of the essential point without verbal speculation. Having listened, that essential point is not generated in one's own continuum, or one does not do it that way. Similarly, thinking without combining with the meaning, and meditating without causing the experience of the nature of reality to arise in one's continuum. Knowing those things, but not adhering to them, instead engaging in (188) worldly activities, one ultimately becomes a companion for falling into the lower realms, therefore there is no benefit. Furthermore, if this essential point is shown, even one who has committed the five inexpiable sins cannot possibly not be liberated. If it is not shown, even one who constantly practices the six perfections cannot be liberated from the three realms. Accumulating good deeds has no benefit. After the lama shows this essential point, it is impossible not to be liberated from it. Because of the essential point that is not harmed by evil. No matter what virtuous actions one does, there is nothing other than binding one's own mind. Furthermore, the teachings of the nine vehicles have no benefit or harm for attaining Buddhahood. Those are because they lack the essential point, and are the essential point of views and meditations that speculate with the mind and hold onto its aftermath. On top of having no benefit, they further obscure the qualities, skillful means, and wisdom of the Buddhas. So, are these scriptures and texts unnecessary? Entering the mandala of this itself is merely a stepping stone (189) on the path, and there is no other benefit. Furthermore, the wisdom of awareness itself is not the object of wisdom, because it is mixed with various thoughts of the mind. In that case, from the scriptural authority

I. If examined with wisdom, the bottom of the aggregates cannot be found. So it is said. The key point here is that the key to determining something with just the eye consciousness is like recognizing someone you knew before just by seeing them, without having to determine their characteristics. Therefore, when the Dharma that speaks of sectarianism as arbitrary is examined with the mind, it only binds one to the three realms again and is of no benefit. Furthermore, if this key point is not shown, then virtue has not helped to liberate from the three realms. The key point that sin has not caused any harm in knowing this key point is that whatever effort is made by body, speech, and mind, everything turns into suffering and is of no benefit to liberation from the three realms. Also, (190) considering the three kayas and five wisdoms of mantra as the result, the key point is that this is a vision of increasing experience on the path. Furthermore, if one hopes to attain the three kayas of Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya, and Nirmanakaya, then one is bound by one's own continuum and cannot transcend the three realms. Thus, first, relying on the meaning of the limbs, with seven special words, it is shown that other vehicles are despised. Now, the second meaning is that, with the key point of the non-action of Dzogchen, it is shown that nothing needs to be abandoned. Since happiness and suffering are equal on their own level, their causes are in harmony without distinction. Therefore, happiness cannot be cultivated and suffering cannot be abandoned, as stated by the teacher of the tantras, the glorious Vajradhara. This is based on the words of the teacher himself. The six words, such as desire, are clear in the text. Such a view eliminates the suffering of physical and verbal exhaustion through virtue, thereby eliminating both causes of sinful ripening. How is it eliminated? Since there is no desire for virtuous action, sin is also eliminated as a result. It is the cause of exhausting both samsara and nirvana. Relaxing one's own mind on the ground of the base, its nature is unmodified, and genuine realization increases. By placing it on whatever appears as a condition, the conceptualizations of the object are destroyed, and thus appearance and awareness are endowed with dharmata. For this, seeing, meditation, and self-grasping are all cleared away. Appearance increases on appearance, dharmata increases, and awareness, or movement, or change, on change, there is nothing better than this as a companion for destruction. By that alone, one knows that the root of the mind, that is, thoughts and concepts, arise suddenly.
