What is the point of meditating with focused wisdom, (139) wanting to be liberated from the nature of reality? For the nature of reality that abides naturally without meditation, there is no need for repeated liberation. Thus, the second point elucidates the characteristics of liberation without relying on view and meditation. Now, the third point is to understand liberation from the Dharma, the characteristic of self-dissolution, based on metaphors, namely: Self-dissolution accompanied by metaphors. These are elucidated by distinguishing other things, there is no separate Dharma that cannot be understood from oneself. Moreover, it is not done or modified by others, but its own dissolution in emptiness due to emptiness is called a metaphor. For example, when clouds dissolve in the sky, no obscuration causes benefit or harm. When the mist of the ocean naturally dissipates, there is no certainty of where it goes. When the consciousness of a madman naturally dissolves, memory weakens. When sudden thoughts in the mind naturally dissolve, the source of memory and thought is cut off. Moreover, liberation comes from seeing the key point, like seeing what, what the object is, and the cessation of previous thoughts. Liberation comes from knowing (140), like recognizing a familiar person from the past simply by seeing them later. Liberation comes from being accustomed to the key point, like a Brahmin child mastering the foundation of the Vedas. Moreover, liberation comes from introducing metaphors. Therefore, one sees through teaching, knows through seeing, and is liberated through knowing. Thus, because of realization in the present moment, there is nothing to be done. How does one know this? First, by letting the path of arising memory and thought, the different movements of wind, enter a state of non-thought. Thus, the various causes of seeing and feeling cease in the space of no cause. Therefore, this person is liberated from examining the Dharma of various names, along with desire. Thus, these elucidate the third general point, which is to examine the relationship between body and mind, especially to achieve understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of the nature of reality, and it is elucidated by dividing it into three branch points. Now, the fourth general point is to point out the truth, determine emptiness, and refute wrong views. It is elucidated through two branch points, the first being to understand Dharma and signs with certainty (141). In this regard, attachment to external appearances is the basis for preventing all conceptualizations. Attachment to the internal senses is the path for preventing entities. Attachment to the secret flow is the result of preventing memory and awareness. Moreover, because it abides in external objects,

The arising causes are naturally liberated. By abiding in the inner mind, the arising feelings naturally vanish; when mindfulness is determined in the mind, delusion is naturally purified. Cutting off the very root of mind-essence is to reverse samsara from its depths. That is because the object-fixated thought is sudden, and because it arises from the body, therefore, abandoning the body and the thought vanishing into its source is the key. That itself ceasing in a state devoid of emptiness as a subject is an unconditioned dharma. Subtle is awareness, light is wind, and moving is mind; when awareness naturally vanishes, the door of arising feelings closes. When the function of wind is completed, the basis of conceptualization is emptied, and when mind transforms into dharmata, it is a sign of reaching the unborn warmth. Thus, after showing the definite realization of the first inner meaning, dharma and signs, (142) now is the second inner meaning, showing the key to the absence of cause, condition, and effect of mind. That is also because, firstly, mind has no cause, so there is no increase in the three realms of samsara, which arises from realizing the baselessness and rootlessness. Because mind has no condition, abandoning all appearances arises from knowing all appearances as dharmata. Mind has no result, and is not established in samsara and nirvana, but the seeds of appearance, awareness, body, and wisdom appear between the reversal of samsara and nirvana, which arises from knowing the transformation of dharmata. Thus, these are the four common meanings of reality and emptiness, identifying the key points, refuting errors, and showing them as two inner meanings. Now is the fifth common meaning of the second object, recognizing the abode of mind by relaxing the three doors of body, speech, and mind. Showing it with four branch meanings, firstly, showing the special characteristics of what is to be accomplished, together with the reason: What is the wisdom of emptiness without practice? etc. Emptiness does not arise from mind, (143) because there is no movement of mental thought, so now knowing that the sudden conceptual thought of mind is different, from where does this arise? It arises from the impure wind of the initial projecting karma, so the key to it is that the outward projection of the movement of wind is the key. The key to the liberation of all beings by destroying the house of mind is called the coming and going without movement dependent on wind. What is that mind that appears as various mindfulnesses? It arises from initially knowing the baselessness and rootlessness, so the key to it
