I call them yogis devoid of the essential points. At this time, all faults dissolve into the expanse of dharmata, and all qualities manifest as the complete ground. The body is self-liberated, and the dependence on particles and subatomic particles (125) ceases. Speech is self-liberated, and the basis of words and expressions is emptied. Mind is self-liberated, and knowing characteristics to be without root or basis, the three kayas are liberated from bonds. Knowing the essential points in this way means not examining the connection of the reversal points of body and mind. Because the essential point of examining the connection beforehand causes the source of memory to cease naturally and be lost, there is no place to find it later. Therefore, because the object of focus is naturally cut off, the basis for the path of going and the end of returning is not found. Later, the path of the mind's going is exhausted, like there being no goer and no going. Therefore, whatever arises is nothing other than dharmata. Therefore, because there is no path of going, just as no one knows the exact boundary of a city, realization liberates the self, turning the mind away from clinging to the past. For that reason, because there is no path of gradual progression, by removing the obstacles of the mind to be purified, there is not even clinging to mere wisdom (126). Thus, the second part of the content, relying on teachings and examples, shows that the path is exhausted, and the basis for progression and purification is emptied. Now, the third part, knowing the characteristics of no-mind, shows that samsara and nirvana cease at the same time. When a yogi abides in the meaning of no-mind, the realm of delusion ceases at the same time. Therefore, because of the essential point of no-mind, there are no Buddhas and sentient beings, so appearances also do not exist. The wise understand this, being skilled in symbols, transcending the speculation of words. Being skilled in meaning, who knows that the basis and root are naturally liberated? Like this, clinging to the extreme of perceiving phenomena and sounds as existing, such as views and meditations, is cut off. Therefore, there is not even clinging to speculating whether samsara exists or not, and discriminating whether the past exists or not. Because these two do not exist, the essential point is that the basis for the purifier and the purified is emptied. Because there is no clinging to mere body and wisdom (127), there is no support or basis for becoming a Buddha, and there are no various mental movements dependent on this, nor are there causes for the deterioration of the body. Now, there is no place to return,

The key is that there is no dwelling place. Therefore, the nature of mind is emptiness, beyond the scope of what can be identified. Good deeds do not bring benefit, and bad deeds do not bring harm. Therefore, it is impossible for there to be any fruition. Such a mind-nature, like a container, has no attachment, like dust, has no support. Therefore, there is no basis for returning to the past, and there is no path to go to the future. Whatever is done, there is no place to go outside of the nature of reality. Therefore, this person is able to suddenly cut off all discriminations at once. This is also through searching for the respective objects of body and mind, transcending the objects of various discriminations, arising merely from knowing the meaning of non-existence. These explain the object of mind, the second general meaning, that the appearance of non-existence is pure in its own place, thus the paths of samsara and nirvana are exhausted, shown with reasoning, and explained in three parts. Now, the second general meaning, by searching for the place of arising of the mind, shows that the basis of samsara is exhausted, shown through four inner meanings, first, relying on the time when realization vanishes, to show that the nature of reality is recognized, which is shown by "the secret razor of one's own doctrine" and so on. Secret, for ordinary people, is naturally hidden; for Hinayana practitioners such as Shravakas, it is secretly concealed; for beings without capacity, it is secretly hidden. Recognizing the place of vanishing, the time of vanishing, and the cause of vanishing of one's own doctrine, therefore it is called a razor because it can cut off all discriminations at once. The mind pervades and permeates all external objects, but it is not different from them, the mind does not arise from those objects. Because no one can know the various changes of the mind. The object also does not arise from (129) the mind. Therefore, the key to the difference between object and mind lies in the difference in causes. Although various discriminations of the mind seem to appear on the object, these thoughts are sudden, therefore they vanish in themselves, do not remain in the previous position, and will not be influenced by it later. Therefore, object and mind are not dual. The horse of moving thoughts dissolves into the sky, therefore, subtle and coarse thoughts cannot exist. By knowing that the movement of wind and mind is empty, all thoughts are purified at once. These are all mind
