This is called the mind-essence of non-being liberated into non-reliance. Such a key point is like recognizing someone you don't often associate with when you suddenly see them. What need is there to become familiar again? For the key point of original liberation, which has no basis for re-establishment, if it is given a name, it is called the awareness of non-reliance liberated into Tsem-min. Because merely knowing it is the key point of not needing to be liberated from it, therefore, if one becomes accustomed to it, it is ease through seeing, and emptiness through knowing, emptiness within emptiness. If it is given a name, it is called a yogi who possesses certainty and does not regress in the three realms. Because there is no need to become accustomed to it, the mind-essence is non-being, and merely seeing it, there is no place to be liberated from one's own awareness. Thus, the fifth meaning, summarized by these, is that the special entry of means arises by relying on the kind lama. In explaining this, it is explained in three inner meanings (114). Now, the general meaning of the first object of the mind, the sixth is the place of dissolution. Relying on the key point of time, it is shown to transcend contemplation and mental activity, and it is shown in two inner meanings. The first is the analogy of those who see the key point not regressing to the three realms: From where it arises, where it arises, it disappears. And so on, it is shown. From where does it arise? It arises from knowing the key point, therefore, whatever temporary conceptual thoughts arise, they disappear into the expanse of the nature of reality. Moreover, from where does that nature of reality arise? Because various different conceptual thoughts have ceased, it cannot be known. Why cannot it be known? Because the cessation of temporary conceptual thoughts afterwards is the cause of self-liberation, the dissolving conditions cease by themselves, and at the place of dissolution, expectations are exhausted. That objectless, baseless mind makes awareness into a rootless, boundless pure mind. Knowing in this way, there is no regression to the three realms, and the mind-essence of non-reliance and tracelessness dissolves in itself. For example, a person with supreme skill (115) shoots an arrow into the sky, it does not return, there is no target to aim at, no trace or landing place, like emptiness with nowhere to go, awareness itself dissolves into the ground, so temporary, sudden conceptual thoughts have nowhere to go, and the mind-essence dissolves without bias or attachment. Moreover, because things do not regress, emptiness is boundless. At that moment, it has not gone anywhere beyond the sky, so the absence of things is emptiness. It does not even remain in the sky.

From now on, there will be no more falling. It is like the arrow of Sinhala being carried by the wind in the sky and not falling down. This mind that knows the extent of liberation and disappearance is also like a skilled person shooting the arrow of Sinhala into the sky. Thus, the first content, that enlightened beings will not return to the three realms, is explained with metaphors. Now, the second content, which explains that simply seeing and knowing in this way, without relying on the effort of contemplation, is naturally liberated, is: The essence of the mind abides in emptiness from the beginning, so whatever arises or appears does not go beyond the great bliss of its own state. Because the mind has no essence, merely focusing on the various external appearances and conditions, it naturally disappears into its own place, therefore, one should have faith in the nature of cessation. Therefore, the two fruits of the mind, samsara and nirvana, are liberated in their own place, so appearances cease at the same time. If it is given a name, it is called the view that cuts off the illusion of appearance at the same time by taking samsara and nirvana at the same time. Because there is no need to become accustomed to it, one knows it simply by seeing that point, and because one is liberated simply by knowing it, one abides in the place where contemplation is abandoned, and it is called emptiness in the place of abiding. If one asks where this comes from, it is because the causes and conditions of body, speech, and mind are first examined, and a special function of the mind arises, therefore, it is constantly used, so it is use. These are the explanations that divide the final general meaning into two parts. The nature, definition, and classification of the mind have already been explained above (117). The object of focus is what is eliminated. The first is the position of numbers, which is the beginning. The summary is explained by six general meanings. Thinking is about the past, future, and present. Because there is no essence from where it comes, it must be emptiness. Because there is no result, there is no repetition, and it is liberated from the beginning. That is to say, by identifying between the before and after of appearance and awareness, there is no power of mother-child wisdom. By identifying between the before and after of thoughts, the basis of karma and habitual tendencies is emptied. By identifying between the before and after of the nature of phenomena, the dependence of samsara and nirvana ends. By identifying between the before and after of cause and condition, contemplation, practice, and result no longer need to be relied upon. By identifying between the before and after of wisdom, the path of effortless self-perfection is cleared. By identifying between the before and after of delusion, the conditions of various appearances have nowhere to go beyond the nature of phenomena. Like this, by looking at the emptiness of self-nature, samsara
