A devotee who wishes to write should go to a place that is exceedingly secluded (Sanskrit: atyanta vivikta). Since it is impossible to have memory without realizing the temporary mind, it should be understood at the juncture when the previous and subsequent movements reverse, and the subsequent reverses to the previous, where the cause ceases and the condition naturally vanishes. Since the ground for the sudden arising of conceptual fruit is not found, examining it and losing the place of abiding is the realization of the nature of reality. From this, knowing that there is no inherent nature of wind moving in and out, even in the mere manifestation of consciousness as the basis of the formless realm, the grasping of self is exhausted. The wisdom that has no reversal in any cause or condition is, because it is separated from saying 'the cause and characteristics are like this,' nothing other than the appearance of non-existence. This arises merely from knowing the key point. Thus, since the basis of body, speech, and mind is not found, there is no skill in continuously grasping a basis in the three realms. Therefore, that very being who possesses special key points is realization. Thus, since the basis of appearance in the three realms is exhausted, the images of the six realms are cut off. How does this arise? This is because (100) first, relying on the teachings of taming body and speech, placing the mind in its own nature is like the teaching of a rakshasa woman who lost her child. In that, the son called 'Rakshasa Mover' was killed by the father, the father being the rakshasa called 'Lanka Nine-Faces,' who pretended the son was lost. The mother, sensing the loss, circled the four continents and Mount Meru three times, searching but not finding him, like cutting off thought and feeling relieved. Recognizing that body, speech, and mind have transcended cause and condition, thus determining not to return to the three realms, thereby feeling relieved. Through this example, the cause of body, speech, and mind naturally ceases, the condition naturally vanishes, and knowing that the three realms cease is because the meaning of non-existence in the mind itself, the appearance naturally disappears, thus arising from understanding that transcends conceptualization. Thus, the second condensed meaning, examining the cause and condition of body, speech, and mind, thereby showing that the basis of the three realms is exhausted, which is shown with three inner meanings included. Now, the third condensed meaning, examining the connection between body and mind (101), thereby showing that it does not depend on previous or subsequent lives, which is shown through three branch meanings. The first is showing that the key to the natural liberation of body, speech, and mind is without error in the nature of reality, that is, starting from 'their cessation,' and so on.

Shown by Sapa. That is, when the basis of body, speech, and mind is not found, cessation means the path of the movement of breath in and out is exhausted. Abiding means that because that is exhausted, the mind abides in its own nature. Because it abides, all movements vanish in their own place, and because it vanishes, the source of memory ceases, and when it ceases, the thoughts of arising sensations are killed, and because it is killed, the wheel of memory and thought stops at once. Because it stops, the nature of reality arises spontaneously, and because it arises, samsara and nirvana are empty at the same time, and because the two are empty, the time of the appearance of phenomena is recognized, and that recognition and the cessation of delusion are simultaneous. Moreover, the one who is skilled in the cessation of cause and the vanishing of conditions (102) is the one who, from suddenly knowing the movement of memory and thought, is not bound by inner happiness as self, and does not experience outer suffering, but remains equal in the emptiness of his own nature. The root of the body, the root of the subtle particles, is cut off. The root of speech, the grasping of sound as mere sound, is self-exhausted. The root of mind, the movements that are overwhelming, vanish by themselves. Therefore, subtle in the subtle, exhausted in the exhausted, vanished in the vanished, the yogi who is liberated from that is called. Thus, the first meaning is that the key to the self-liberation of body, speech, and mind is shown without error in the nature of reality. Now, the second meaning is to show how to identify the place where memory and awareness vanish based on the movement of wind. Moreover, by examining the body and mind, the cause of not finding the basis for analyzing it is emptiness, the condition is vanishing, and the aspect of not understanding from the categories of names in speech is not found. Designation is a name, but by breaking it with reason, it is not established anywhere. Moreover, the body is placed in a comfortable position, and the slow (103) movement of the wind is slowly pushed outward, and from that, the awareness that vanishes in its own place is the nature of reality. Moreover, the time of vanishing is vanishing by merely pushing it outward. Moreover, by placing awareness like the evaporation of the steam of the great ocean, liberation from all conceptualizations is because the glorious Vajradhara, who possesses great compassion, is the protector of Garab Dorje, the nature of reality that is not defiled by anything, the meaning of the arising of wisdom of knowing, has gone especially to a further place from that, the meaning of vanishing in the place of vanishing. I, Garab Dorje, know, thus instructing sentient beings who possess the capacity. Thus, the second meaning is based on the movement of wind.
