After that, I said, "I am your lord, the great king. You have five hundred paṇḍitas residing as objects of offering. I would like to offer even a small amount of respect to those paṇḍitas, and even ask about some unclear Dharma teachings. Great king, please grant me permission." After reporting this, the king looked at him and said, "A child whose mouth still smells of milk, what can he understand about the Dharma?" He also said, "What can he understand?" After that, the child said, "King, (522) please grant me permission no matter what." The king said, "You are still young, but you are adorned with many marks of the Buddha on your body. Perhaps you are an incarnation. Let him meet with the paṇḍitas." After saying this, he went inside. Later, when the paṇḍitas were having breakfast, the king told the paṇḍitas everything that the child had said earlier. The paṇḍitas said, "Isn't he just talking nonsense and being silly? Don't let him in." Some people said this. Among those people, one with great knowledge said, "Let him come up, some people say that. Let him in, maybe he really is an incarnation. Last night I had a good dream." After saying this, they let him in. After the child bowed, he debated with them one by one, and no one could defeat him. No matter what Dharma they asked, he could answer fluently, without any hesitation or obstruction. The paṇḍitas (523) in turn bowed to him, placed his feet on their heads, and praised him greatly. Considering his vast wisdom, they named him Prajñābhava Wisdom Born). The king was very pleased and named him Guru Garab Dorje. Because his mother hid him in a hole in the ashes and he did not die, he was called Guru Mahāśava Vimalamitra. All the people in that place said that this young man was very lovely and lived very happily, so he was called Guru Śava Sukha. In this way, the reason why he has four names is because he personally heard the teachings of the Buddha Bhagavan in the bodies of beings in the four births, and circled around him. This was accomplished by the power of his own merit. After that, in the north, there is a mountain called "Sunlight Shining," where there is a huge rock...

In an extremely terrifying place, having erected a thatched hut on the dwelling place of wild men, he demonstrated abiding in samadhi for thirty-two years (524), causing the earth to shake seven times. Countless kinds of sounds also arose from the sky, and rains of various flowers fell. Sounds also frequently arose saying, "The teachings of the heretics are declining." Near that place, there was a king of evil deeds who believed in the heretics. The children who herded his livestock saw him. They could not awaken him even by blowing a horn, nor could they awaken him by poking him with a bamboo pole. They saw someone sitting there without caring about anything, and they told the king. The king said, "This is a sign of the flourishing of Buddhism and the decline of the heretical teachings. Send two executioners to kill him!" So he gave those two men two knives and sent them. When the executioners tried to kill him, they could not find an opportunity to strike. The master opened a path through the clouds in the sky (525) and departed. The heretical king and his retinue were amazed, prostrated, and praised him greatly, and entered the Buddhist teachings. Thus, when he reached the age of thirty-two, all the precious scriptures spoken by the perfectly enlightened Buddhas of the past, especially the sixty-four hundred thousand verses of the Great Perfection of Naturalness, those spoken from his heart, like a pile of wish-fulfilling jewels, at the peak of expanding the activity of teaching the Dharma, the Vajradhatu Dakini named "The Taste of Worldly Bliss," with three faces, wearing a tiger skin, four hands, holding a peacock umbrella, riding a tiger and a lion in her activity, the yellow Dakini of limitless qualities who brings bliss, riding a dragon, holding lightning, extremely wrathful, pleasing to the mind, and what the master himself and the Buddha spoke, for three years (526), he pressed the words and letters onto the catalog. He perfectly recorded the naturally arising letters, along with the emanation body, without any distortion. Having recorded them in this way, in the cave where the Dakini manifested, he said to the Dakini who possessed consciousness, "Make offerings!" and bestowed permission.
