The secret letters, mother and children, are greatly cherished and expanded to the utmost. This is not for spreading to others; the essence of all secret mantras, the key to awareness, are gathered here, moistening the heart essence in the mind. Like precious gold, it increases in value when constantly practiced. The secret letters are also the same. Therefore, the essential instructions for them: without these symbolic letters, the fruits will have no place to be transported and no place to meet. Therefore, with these letters that determine the measures, the definite times should be clearly indicated. This supreme method of the heart essence must be kept secret, revealed only after reaching the level (90). Condense the innermost secrets into the essence of the heart essence, gather the essences and make the heart essence the path. Therefore, these letters are extremely rare; they must be held for the sake of the sacred meaning. The extremely condensed heart drop is most precious. These measures, for the realm of conceptual mind, should be taken as meaning expansion and growth. The measure of Dharma nature is to abide equally, the measure of wisdom is to be without pride, the measure of primordial awareness is the self-illuminating five colors, the measure of space is to appear as above, the measure of awareness is to be without increase or decrease, the measure of light is to be obstructed inside and out, the measure of bindu is the self-illuminating five kayas, the measure of the ground is to be with increase, the measure of the path is to be with obscurations ceasing, the measure of the fruit is to be exhausted at the end, the measure of the kaya is the self-reliant hero. These are also the measures for determining the heart essence. The later measure is this, the child of mind, the measure of light is to appear as light, the measure of bindu is the true radiance, the measure of wind (91) is the sound that is the same from the outside, the measure of space is the movement of the earths, the measure of the kaya is the kaya that is the same from the outside. These are also the qualities of awareness. Without reaching the measure, the true meaning is not known. Practice with measure is not wasted, therefore, these letters of measure are precious.
