There is no doubt that one will attain Buddhahood without entering the bardo. When the essence and awareness themselves appear without day or night (80), it is called non-duality of samsara and nirvana, which is the measure of samsara itself being liberated into nirvana. That is, the night is a part of samsara, and the day is a part of nirvana. Therefore, it is measured by the extent to which the appearance of night disappears. In practice, this also does not show the bardo, and if it happens like that, there is no doubt that one will attain Buddhahood in five years with the remaining aggregates. When the appearance of thigle is like a small mustard seed or a bean, it is called awareness being contained in the realm of space, which is the measure of being condensed into the essence. Therefore, if one practices without completing the signs below this, and there is an interruption, there will be no emanation. After abandoning the aggregates, one will show external signs and attain Buddhahood without doubt. When the thigle appears only as the shape of a mirror, and all those thigle appear as radiating rays, it is called the single thigle ripening into essence, which is the measure of light and light-fields ripening. Then, the thigle itself appears as a bowl at the lower sense gate, (81) as a wooden bowl at the middle sense gate, and as an armor at the upper sense gate. It is called awareness approaching separation from the winds, which means the thigle has reached its limit. Therefore, there is no certainty that it will grow larger than this. Then, those thigle are very numerous, and their size is only like the previous ones, filling the realm of space. When each of them is surrounded by a halo of five lights, it is called the vessel ripening into essence. When a single form appears in the thigle, it is called the essence being condensed into the heart. Since awareness has struck the peg of space, it is the measure of the path ripening, because of the key point of making the three bodies into the path. Then, when five forms appear in each thigle, it is called the attachment to form being naturally cut off, which is the measure of the three bodies being perfected on the path. Because of the key point of one's own body being liberated into clear light, this is the state where the elements have gone to self-purification. That measure should be understood as eleven characteristics of oneself, as follows: The measure of the great natural perfection (82) being free from effort and accomplishment, the measure of cutting off the continuity of the city of the womb, the measure of all phenomena appearing in various ways, and all appearances and existences being instructions.

The extent of recognizing delusion, recognizing error in oneself; the extent of uninterrupted circumstances; the extent of the equality of samsara and nirvana; the extent of immutability from awareness; the extent of entering the single rank; the extent of the manifest determination of the single bindu of the Great Perfection of Self-Nature; the extent of liberating this outer appearance by reversing the attachment to the bodies; the extent of the natural cessation of obstacles, so that the elements return to their own place, and the eleven yogis see the appearance of the exhaustion of all dharmas. If one practices in this way with these measures and does not separate, then no one can deny it; even if one does not want to, it will surely appear as the path. For example, a pregnant woman who has completed (83) months cannot be stopped by anyone, just as her belly is empty. It is not born all at once, but gradually born from the body, like birth after birth. It is like the first seven days, with "Mermerpo" and "Tartarpo" and so on. If there is no measure of the Great Perfection of Self-Nature, which is free from effort and accomplishment, then there is no difference from the common vehicle. At this time, no matter what good or bad deeds are done, they are free from harm, and no matter how good or bad they are done, one obtains the confidence that one will not fall into the lower realms. If there is no measure of cutting off the city of the womb, then the cliff of the six paths cannot be cut off, which contradicts enlightenment in one lifetime. At this time, the habits of the past do not stain even a speck of dust, and one obtains the confidence that there is no difference between hell and enlightenment. If there is no measure of the appearance of all dharmas in various ways, then there is no difference from the views that cling to mental speculation. At this time, even if various external circumstances do not arise, one is free from benefit and harm, and one obtains the confidence that the manifest appearance will not be destroyed by circumstances. If one recognizes all appearances as instructions, thereby cutting off error in oneself, then there is no difference from those who follow words. At this time, since everything that is said appears as what is seen, one obtains the confidence that all verbal elaboration is pacified. If there is no measure of uninterrupted circumstances, then there is no difference from the appearance of ordinary people. At this time, one can be free from the dualistic knowledge of clinging to matter and awareness, and the coarse elements will not cause harm.
