Will be born on the earth. Regarding gathering awareness into the vase during midnight: Lie down on your right side, visualize the central channel as clear, filled with white AH (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) letters, like stacked pebbles. Especially, visualize the heart center as a red lotus with four petals slightly open, and the AH (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) letter within it, with other AH (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) letters gradually dissolving into it. Combine the breath with the heart center and hold it, clearly meditating on the clear emptiness. As you fall asleep, focus your mind on the AH (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) letter within the round petals of the heart lotus, this letter is white and radiant, as clear as a lamp inside a vase. By sleeping in this way, sleep will manifest as luminosity. Then, when you wake up without dreams, abiding in clear emptiness, do not lose that experience, continue to meditate. If you dream, gather all dreams and thoughts into the AH (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) letter in the heart center, and meditate as before (page 271), luminosity will manifest. By falling asleep in this way, you can see nearby forms, hear sounds, smell odors, taste flavors, feel sensations, perceive feelings, understand the meaning of words, but without arising thoughts, this is the cause of awakening. By becoming accustomed to this state, at all times, all phenomena will not deviate from the meaning of the great perfection of non-duality. Therefore, sleep manifests as clear emptiness, thereby realizing luminosity. In the early morning, rest awareness in its own clarity: Then, get up early in the morning and, in the lion posture, exhale three long "Ha" breaths and hold them. Visualize the AH (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) letter in the heart center emerging from the Brahma aperture, suspended in the sky above the crown of the head, about an arrow's length away. Focus on this, meditate without distraction, and abide in the state of holding the breath, thus a samadhi of non-thought will arise. Then, the eyes and awareness gradually become red, half-closing the eyes and looking down (page 272), gather the AH (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) letter of awareness into the heart center, and agitation will subside. If you feel dull, then meditate upwards as before, thus wisdom without dullness or agitation will arise spontaneously, like a flowing river. Thus, by meditating in sequence during the three sessions of the night, adorned with the supreme samadhi of bliss, clarity, and non-thought wisdom, the essence of the vajra heart manifests as the path, this is the intent of the three kayas inseparable. If you continuously familiarize yourself with this, the qualities of the path and fruition, such as the divine eye and clairvoyance, will manifest.

Thus, the wisdom of the four appearances will be perfected, and the state of non-abiding nirvana, inseparable from Samantabhadra, will be attained. Therefore, at all times, day and night, one should practice diligently, not wasting the opportunity of leisure and endowment, knowing that it is difficult to obtain; knowing that life is impermanent, one should not delay practice; (273) knowing that samsara is suffering, one should be disgusted with existence; knowing that all phenomena are without inherent existence, one should not cling to anything as real; knowing that nirvana is supremely blissful, one should practice peaceful bodhi; knowing that secret mantra is easily accomplished, one should train in various paths; knowing that the Great Vehicle relies on compassion, one should possess the altruistic mind of bodhicitta; knowing that blessings rely on faith and devotion, one should see the guru as the Buddha; knowing that everything depends on one's own mind, one should train in impartial pure perception; knowing that samsara arises from delusion and misconception, one should cut the root of grasping and clinging; knowing that happiness and suffering arise from past karma, one should adopt virtue and abandon evil; knowing that samsara and nirvana arise from awareness, one should recognize the essence of awareness. These twelve key points are for taming one's own mind. This is also a profound and important instruction, so keep it in mind. Thus, the profound and direct (274) essence of the heart, cherish all these as companions for meditation, like precious gold inlaid with turquoise. Cherishing the key points is well said. The meaning spoken by the former vidyadhara gurus, gathered from the profound teachings, is written for future fortunate and kind-hearted disciples. May they meet and diligently practice to attain bodhi! Although I alone am happy in the peaceful forest, because of the connection of aspiration prayers and pure karma, for the benefit of beings who are a mixture of faithful and unfaithful, I have made a small contribution of words. Nowadays, even if people like me try hard, if they cannot turn altruism into purity, then it becomes a cause for abandoning peaceful meditation for self-interest. What is the point of such actions? Think about it! I have no attachment to this life, nor any desire. Even if body, speech, and mind are dedicated to benefiting others, they become causes of jealousy, harsh words, and sin. Controlled by negativity, is there any benefit to beings? With my own ability, I have tried to guide Dharma, politics, and virtue onto the path of benefiting this life and the next (275), but also...
