The essential practices for the fortunate ones. The profound wheel of wisdom. As an aid for the yogi of the Secret Essence to directly practice, the way to meditate in a single session of day and night is summarized in two: During the day, expand appearances; at night, strike the essential point of wisdom. The first has three parts: The Basis - The Great View of Primordial Liberation: Outer appearances, inner awareness, and all phenomena encompassed by samsara and nirvana, from the perspective of appearance, arise as a play of dreams and illusions. However, from the perspective of emptiness, they are free from all extremes of existence and non-existence, like the sky. Neither being nor non-being, neither this nor that, without bias, good or bad, acceptance or rejection, samsara or nirvana, they are not established in any essence, but are the state of being without bondage or liberation. Therefore, having decided that it is called Primordial Liberation, without engaging the mind's grasping at whatever appears or arises, placing the mind in the state of great equality, free from extremes, is called the intention of the Primordial Liberation of Dharmata. When practicing in this way, in the vast expanse of the nature of liberation, do not cut off the sky with clinging to extremes. Whatever arises is the magical display of awareness, in the great equality of Primordial Liberation, do not attach the stains of faults and virtues with clinging to acceptance and rejection. In the view like the impartial sky, although there is no distinction between sessions, until dualistic grasping subsides into the expanse, cultivate the unobstructed, non-conceptual awareness like the flow of a river. These three are the vows of the view. The Path - The Great Practice of Complete Liberation, has two parts: In equipoise, placing the mind in the nature of Dharmata like the sky, that is, at the time of whatever appears or arises, release the ordinary (267) awareness into its own place, and the great equanimity of not engaging the mind in any phenomena of samsara and nirvana. Do not tighten with deliberate effort. Do not become scattered and unrestrained. Do not transform awareness into conceptualization. Abiding the mind in the state of clear, lucid awareness is called the intention of the Primordial Purity of Essence. At that time, because it does not move from the expanse of Dharmata, the turbulent waves of conceptualization do not become turbid. Because the clear nature is without stain, it does not place itself on the side of sinking or excitement. Because it is beyond mind and effort, it does not cling to the experience of bliss and clarity. These three are the vows of practice. Then, rising from the seat, during the post-meditation period, train the mind in the meaning of the emptiness of phenomena, that is, all phenomena that appear in this way, like dreams and illusions.

Knowing that appearances are like illusions, optical illusions, echoes, reflections of the moon in water, emanations, and cities of the Gandharvas, without being distracted in a state where not even a moment is established as true, diligently practice. Contemplate all dualistic minds, such as attachment and aversion, acceptance and rejection, hope and fear (268), as the great liberation of non-duality. This is called the view of spontaneous self-illumination. At that time, because the nature is non-dual, do not view appearances and awareness as different. In terms of meaning, because there is no essence, do not cling to biased sectarianism. Because the nature transcends extremes, do not accept or reject conditioned appearances. These three are the samaya. In the path, equipoise is meditation, and post-meditation is action. Know this as the great self-illuminating non-grasping. The result is the great self-knowing self-liberation. However it may appear, there is nothing that is not liberated in its essence, so do not grasp outwards with the mind. However it may be known, there is no grasping in conceptual thought, so do not defile self-liberation with grasping, and do not connect inwards with the mind. Because appearances and awareness dawn as self-liberation, in a state without calculating right and wrong, relax like butter melting. This is called the view of the great spontaneous perfection. At that time, abiding in primordial liberation, recognize that there is no need to liberate again. Abiding in self-liberation (269), there is no need to move or change whatever arises. Abiding in complete liberation, there is no need to pursue antidotes. Abiding in immediate liberation, there is no simultaneous before or after, and one can settle comfortably. These four are the samaya. Thus, guarding the three bases, paths, and results with thirteen great samayas is called increasing appearances during the day. The second meaning is striking the essential point of wisdom at night, which has three parts. In the evening, collecting the senses at the essential point means arranging the posture of a renunciate, exhaling three times to expel impure air, gently inhaling pure air, drawing in the lower air and pressing down the upper air. The Avadhuti channel, as straight as an arrow shaft, is bluish-white, extending from the secret place to the crown of the head. At the navel center, in the middle of a four-petaled lotus, there is a short red A (ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A), burning upwards like fire with a hot touch. The white Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) at the crown of the head looks downwards, and upon touching it, a stream of white and red bindus descends. (270) Striking the A (ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A) with fire as fuel, it blazes fiercely, burning away karma and habitual tendencies. Holding the mind in the increasing bliss and meditating, warmth and wisdom arise.
