This is called the view of ego-attachment. Similarly, by focusing on the white four-tiered stack, purifying the delightful experience that is like water, this is called the view of the water-wind self-exhaustion, which is a branch for generating the second dhyana. Then, by focusing on the green three-tiered stack, purifying the subtle movements of thoughts that are like wind, this is called the view of the ascending-wind self-exhaustion, which is a branch for generating the third dhyana. Then, by focusing on the yellow two-tiered stack, purifying the antidote activities bound by mindfulness, this is called the view of the mindfulness-basis self-exhaustion, which is a branch for generating the fourth dhyana (245). Then, by focusing on the single dark blue A, liberating from the stains of grasping and attachment-thoughts, including the part of abandoning the antidote, this is called the view of the space self-exhaustion, which is a branch for generating the formless realms and the wisdom of cessation, non-conceptual. These instructions are the crucial points for solidifying the five elements, starting from coarse conceptualization until mindfulness is not purified in the dharmadhatu, and for dissolving grasping-thoughts into the dharmadhatu. That is, first, by focusing awareness on the A, from the very beginning, not separating from the state of going aimlessly, this is the experience. Thus, during the time of practice, if the elements are disturbed and sinking or excitement becomes excessive, it is said that by meditating on the three letters in the three places and straightening the wind, one can emerge. However, in practical application, when there are feverish symptoms, meditate on the white, cool bodhicitta descending from the Haṃ (ཧཾ་, हं, haṃ, Hūṃ) of the Great Bliss Wheel to cure the illness, and exhale lightly (246) and then inhale. For coldness, contemplate fire blazing from the Raṃ (རཾ་, रं, raṃ, Raṃ) of the navel's Emanation Wheel to burn it, hold the breath and inhale. For phlegm, it is similar, but especially, contemplate nectar descending from the Trāṃ (ཏྲཱཾ་, त्रां, trāṃ, Chuàng) of the Enjoyment Wheel to cure the illness, exhale three times three times, and inhale one time one time. If the mind is agitated and distracted, focus the mind and hold the breath on the burning bliss-warmth from the Haṃ (ཧཾ་, हं, haṃ, Hūṃ) of the Bliss-Protecting Wheel. If samadhi does not arise even when calm, contemplate the essence of the crown descending from the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ་, हुं, hūṃ, Hūṃ) of the Dharma Wheel, and then inhale, thus all illnesses will be pacified and samadhi will arise naturally. These are the essential key points. At this time, also verbally recite those letters, and reciting many Ha, Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ་, हुं, hūṃ, Hūṃ) and A is a method.

If you meditate without the key points of the winds, wisdom will not arise quickly, and the effort will be small and the result will be small. Therefore, it is important to meditate after knowing the key points. This is a section (247) on the instructions of the key points of speech, the second part. The third general meaning is the key point of rigpa, which consists of the rigpa of cadence and the key point of actually practicing rigpa. First, by practicing the cadence, the true nature of rigpa is reached without fabrication, so the true rigpa cadence is shown decisively, and the light cadence is meditated through transcendence. The first is that when the power of rigpa cadence mixed with wind arises in the mind, it is practiced through four ways: view, meditation, action, and result. First, the view is to decide that the spontaneously arising wisdom, rigpa emptiness, is the essence of the dharmakaya, so that one does not rely too much on the Buddha above, and does not doubt samsara below. By knowing that samsara and nirvana are the state of mind, whatever rigpa arises, at the time of the increase of rigpa, there is no abandonment, acceptance, good or bad. Confiding in the great, all-penetrating original Buddha is entrusting oneself to one's own face and deciding on one basis. From the point of view of not having good or bad, the peg of all-penetrating wisdom is placed between samsara and nirvana (248), like grass meeting fire. Because of the appearance of existence and non-existence, the peg of liberation of view is like placing a peg between permanence and annihilation, like mirrors meeting. Since all dharmas are realized to be originally liberated and originally enlightened, whatever arises becomes dharmata. Like reaching the top of Mount Meru and seeing the low valleys, this is called the intention of Mount Meru's stillness. Second, meditation is the great equality in which self-liberation, original abiding, appearance, and mind are vowed to be liberated into many different flavors. Whatever arises, whatever appears, the essence of meditation is placed on the arising without fabrication, hope, or fear. In the state of no sinking, no agitation, and no distraction, when there is one taste, from the arising and appearing, it is liberated into naked seeing. From the point of view of liberation, the peg of the self-purifying lamp is placed between the object and the mind, like raising a lamp in a dark cave. From the point of view of no sinking, no agitation, and no distraction, the five senses meet and are liberated, the peg of the self-liberation of the five senses is placed between sinking and agitation, like a single child meeting its mother. Whatever arises is mixed into one taste, and mind and things are liberated into non-duality, and thoughts and thoughts are absorbed into the basis (249). This is the intention of the ocean's stillness, the ocean's wind.
