The way to send forth and liberate La is: Those who are the least diligent, From there, the eastern Manifest Joy and so on, Traveling through pure lands on a lotus, Touching the supreme spontaneously born liberation. All of this is accomplished through the blessings of the Lama, Through the power of direct perception. Therefore, for all accomplishments, At the source, the glorious Lama, With great faith and respect, one should strive. May the two purposes of self and others be spontaneously accomplished. Thus, the profound Lama's path, The great arrangement and self-arisen, The lineage of perfected skills and its explanations, As it is said, well established. May all beings, through this virtue, In the place of the primordial clear light essence, All without exception, at once be completely absorbed, May body and wisdom reach perfection. The key instructions of clear light blessings, Called "The Nectar Tree," Completed by the supreme vehicle yogi, Longchen Rabjam. The immaculate nectar dwells here. The source of all goodness, I prostrate to the supreme Lama, Treasure of the arising of Samadhi clear light, May the immaculate nectar be made clear. The instructions on the key points of the four times, And the two of Trekchö and Tögal, The key points are of three kinds, The first, the key points of the four times, Outer, inner, and secret. The first, the outer four times, Winter, spring, summer, and autumn, The months are three each. Winter is water, the cold is strong, Adjust dwelling and conduct to warmth. Spring is the time of Peken earth, Heavy and dense, so incense is precious. Summer is fire, hot, so rely on coolness, Autumn wind moves, so clear and bright, Adjust dwelling and conduct as appropriate. The inner four times are of one's own body, The order of the key points of the four elements, Divide day and night into four parts each. During the day, whatever appears is illusion, In the state of clear light, practice diligently, At night, hold awareness within. At dusk, from the red A (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) at the navel, The fire burns, touching the Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体: हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) at the crown of the head. White and red nectar descends to the heart, By holding the mind on the supreme bindu, (229) Coemergent wisdom arises. At noon, in the lion's sleeping posture, By holding the mind on the white A in the heart, Fall asleep in a non-objective state. At dawn, from the white A in the heart, Shooting up to the crown like a fully drawn bow, In the center of the sky, Hold the mind, clear and empty wisdom.

Appears. The secret four times of conceptual thought, In the Dharmakaya free from three of the four parts, Meditate without distraction on self-aware wisdom. In the three times of past, present, and future, The scattering of conceptual thoughts ceases on its own. Unite with non-conceptual wisdom itself, Thus, by familiarizing oneself with the key points of the four times, One will draw near to the true meaning. Secondly, the key to cutting through is, Abiding from the arising is the key of keys. The key to the time of offering is certainty, Who knows how it does not move and vanishes on its own? In this, there is neither permanence nor annihilation. Who knows how it is free from memory and thought? In this, there is neither going nor coming. Who knows how to directly see one's own face? In this, there is neither samsara nor nirvana. Thus, the essence of mind is precious. As it is said, the meditation on the initial purity recognized from the arising is the secret key. Thirdly, the key to Tögal (230) is, The posture and the way of looking should be strictly controlled, Without dullness, without fogginess, without distraction, Meditate on the clear light of appearances day and night. From skillful means, wisdom is actually born. Mixing day and night is the key of keys. Distinguishing the non-conceptual clarity, Is said to be the essence of the Dharmakaya's clear light. By practicing that very essence, One is liberated in the Great Perfection of self-nature. Thus, this is the supreme instruction of the three keys, Having gathered the key points of tantras, agamas, and pith instructions, By the virtue of this composition, may all beings, Attain spontaneous accomplishment as Samantabhadra. The key instruction on meditating on clear light, Called "Immaculate Nectar." Completed by the supreme vehicle yogi, Longchen Rabjam. The key instruction on practicing clear light, the King of Nectars, is present. I prostrate to the one who has mastered the treasury of the supreme and profound ocean of Dharma, I write the supreme practice, the King of Nectars, of the unsurpassed Vajra Essence. Forests, islands, charnel grounds, As well as temples, animal pens, cities, Empty houses, solitary trees, riverbanks, Places of fear, joy, and sorrow, (231) Places that distract the mind should be abandoned, Abiding on a comfortable seat, After taking refuge and generating bodhicitta, In the space in front, visualize the lama, Yidam, dakinis, dharma protectors, The six realms, karmic debtors, harmful spirits, Thinking of all, offer one's own body, Flesh, blood, desirable qualities, and enjoyments, To whatever they desire, without attachment. After that, without thinking of anything, Rest in the equality of dharmata. At that time, one's own conceptual thoughts, And the illusions and magical displays of gods and demons
