and, becoming as youthful as an eight-year-old child, with speech that is gentle and pleasing, and a voice that is loud and far-reaching, the mind is tamed, needing no (195) food or clothing, able to remain in meditative equipoise for months, able to control the wind at will, even if a killing executioner appears, no hope, fear, or dread arises, afflictions no longer arise in the mind, because there is no clinging to words, so they cannot be remembered, there is no meaning, no false speech arises, sometimes becoming like a mute, sounds and Dharma words that were previously unknown arise spontaneously, and the mind is not disturbed by past, future, and present affairs, the order is orderly, the hopes and fears of samsara and nirvana are cut off, the breath no longer goes in and out, and no false thoughts arise. These signs are due to focusing on the key points of body, speech, and mind in the preliminaries, and also may appear at any time during the main practice of clear light meditation, so do not hope, fear, or make acceptances and rejections. If you do, it will become an obstacle of demonic hindrances. The second meaning is that the experience of increasing experiences is the same as the previous body posture, etc., but especially the elephant's sitting posture and the Sambhogakaya Buddha's way of looking (196) should be the main focus, and the other two should only be practiced as aids, from a span of light, a thimble-sized bindu, to the appearances before the appearance of the five-fold complete Sambhogakaya Buddha. That is, when the lamp of the emptiness of the bindu appears in the sky, without the need for finger movements, the lamp of the pure realm of reality appears, like a peacock feather, with a halo of five colors, the center is white, yellow, red, green, and blue, like a rainbow, in the center of the bindu appears the shape of four lotus petals, decorated with different colors, and obstacles will also naturally be born in the pure land of the Nirmanakaya Buddha and attain Buddhahood. After that, through practice, the rays of the five lights appear radiant, stretching upwards, like a spearhead, like an arrow, like a thousand-petaled lotus, like a wisdom castle, etc., and the bindu also appears as large as the palm of the hand, as large as a mirror, and so on. At this time, because the realm of reality and awareness are merged, even if there is an interruption in the middle, it is certain to be liberated in the spontaneously arising appearances of the bardo. That is, when the appearance of the realm of reality expands from a moment, the radiant rays gather in front and

The view, (197) extending upwards and guiding downwards, contracting the square to the right, contracting the circle to the left, looking up at the crescent, looking down at the triangle, and equally contemplating the appearances of the five wisdoms, such as castles, etc., is the key. During these appearances, day and night are mixed, and the night also appears like the day, and the light is continuous. The bindus are also many, surrounded by a fence of five lights, about the size of a teacup, about the size of a saucer, etc., and appear to pervade wherever one looks. From the appearance of the dharmadhatu, there appear nets of jewels, half-nets, patterns of many eyes, net-like appearances, etc., as well as appearances like brocade tents, stupas, and palaces, etc., which is the perfection of the adornment of the dharmadhatu. That is, if one interrupts after becoming accustomed to it at first, the four wisdoms will be combined; if one interrupts after becoming accustomed to it in the middle, there will be an appearance of clusters; the ultimate habit is liberation in the moment of the arising of clear light, so there is no subsequent appearance (198). At that time, when day and night are mixed, samsara is liberated into nirvana, so one will surely attain Buddhahood in the primordial nature of reality. That is, at first the appearance of the dharmadhatu is as big as a valley, then as big as a country, and then it pervades everything one looks at. During these times, just as the clear light of external appearances arises, the clear light of inner awareness, samadhi, eyes, clairvoyance, and many miracles also arise. Here, the clear light of appearance is directly shown, so it is thought that the clear light of awareness can be understood incidentally, so it is not shown. Why? Because in other dharmas, even if the extent of awareness is directly shown, it cannot be maintained even for a moment and is difficult to measure, but the appearance gradually becomes clearer, so it is easy to recognize. The third meaning, the appearance of awareness reaching its limit, is: after the key points of body and speech are so accustomed, the appearance of the dharmadhatu appears to pervade like the sky. In the bindu, from the center of the lotus petals and the crown of the four petals, from the crown of the father deities, single forms appear, (199) from the complete ornaments, forms appear together with the mothers, the size of shields, etc. From their hearts, between themselves and their own hearts, light rays appear, connected like ears of five-colored light. One's own body also becomes a wheel of light, starting from the crown of the head.
