Again, I offer with a mind of all-encompassing virtue. Clouds of various jewels ablaze, etc. By offering this mandala with five sets of five, may I temporarily attain the prosperity of gods and humans, (281) and ultimately enjoy the realm of Kuntuzangpo. With this pure and virtuous offering cloud, may I rain down offerings in immeasurable realms, perfectly completing the two accumulations of merit and wisdom, and may all the wishes of beings be fulfilled as desired. May all realms be filled with the wealth of the Buddha's children, and may all beings always practice virtuous Dharma. May we all enter the city of liberation together, and may body and wisdom be spontaneously accomplished. Thus, it should be recited three times. This is called "The Mandala Offering Ritual: The Net of Wishes." Completed, written by the supreme Mahayana yogi Longchen Rabjam (Klong chen pa). (282) (283) The Sequence of Samaya, the Ocean of Liberation, is present here. To the primordial pure, non-transgressing Dharmata Samaya, I pay homage with reverence, and I shall write the sequence of Samaya—the Ocean of Liberation. Although the Samaya of the Great Perfection of Self-Nature transcends the boundaries of protection and is without transgression, yogis who practice the path must abide by the Samaya, therefore, one must purify one's own continuum. In the great Tantras, it is said that there are three root Samayas, and the branch Samayas should be known as not abandoning, accepting, practicing, and accomplishing, each with five aspects, totaling twenty-eight. However, the branch Samayas are only shown as aids to protecting the root, and because they include acceptance and rejection, effort, and accomplishment, they are included here in the root. Therefore, I will not explain them separately, but will explain the detailed classification of the root Samayas. There are three: the classification of the Samayas to be protected, the method of how to protect them, and the result achieved by that method. The first is, in the Three Establishments of Samaya, it says: "From the three ripenings of beings, the three (284) Samayas of mantra are proclaimed. From body, speech, and mind, each has nine, divided into twenty-seven." As it is said, the twenty-seven Samayas that arise from the root body, speech, and mind are: First, the Samaya of the body has three aspects: outer, inner, and secret. The outer also has three divisions, the outer of the outer is: not giving.

Taking vows. Guarding against impure conduct in the outer inner, and against taking life in the outer secret. The outer aspect of the inner of the body: parents and vajra brothers and sisters, and reviling one's own body. The inner aspect of the inner: reviling the Dharma and individuals. The inner secret: guarding against despising one's own body with asceticism, faith, beatings, filth, and so on. The outer aspect of the secret of the body: intending to strike the bodies of vajra brothers and sisters, or reviling ornaments. The inner: actually striking vajra brothers and sisters, and harming the mother of the lama, enjoying the mother of a friend, and so on. The secret is: stepping on the shadow of the lama, being disrespectful in front of him, and engaging in reckless behavior, sitting with legs outstretched, speaking carelessly, and not engaging in seductive displays of beauty. Secondly, regarding the vows of speech, there are also three: outer, inner, and secret. The outer outer: speaking falsely. The outer inner: slander (285). The outer secret: protecting the mind from cutting off the hopes of others. The inner outer: speaking words of Dharma. The inner inner: contemplating the meaning in the mind. The inner secret: not criticizing the yoga of reality. The outer aspect of the secret of speech: the words of vajra brothers and sisters. The inner: the mudra of the lama and the words of attendants. The outer inner: generally harming all sentient beings, and especially harboring harmful thoughts towards vajra brothers and sisters. The outer secret: generally developing wrong views towards the Dharma and individuals, and especially holding wrong views towards one's own lama and the Dharma, these should be abandoned. The outer aspect of the inner of the mind: being reckless and noisy due to wrong conduct. The inner aspect of the inner: dullness and agitation, and straying and obscuration, due to wrong meditation.
