Offering the Mandala: Om(藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡), Am(藏文:ཨཱྃ,梵文天城体:आ,梵文罗马拟音:āṃ,汉语字面意思:阿), Ah(藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:阿), Hum(藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽)! The realm of Dharmata's clear light, from the very beginning, its essence is pure in nature. Like the sky, it is empty, without beginning or end. Like the sun and moon, it is bright and spontaneously accomplished. (172) Samsara and Nirvana, nowhere are they separated, there is no division, the nature of indivisibility. Transforming into the Buddha's realm and the forms of the six realms of beings, the great source beyond measure. The spontaneously accomplished precious container, the space where the three bodies are inseparable. The wisdom of the equality of the four times. The youthful vase body realm, without outer or inner, everything is contained within. Blue, yellow, red, white, and green rays of light radiate in the ten directions. In the boundless sky, adorned with the great light of body and wisdom, possessing the immeasurable great power. The realm of clear light Vajra essence. This itself is naturally pure and spontaneously accomplished. To the Gurus, Yidams, and the assembly of deities of the Mandala, and the assembly of oath-bound protectors, together with the ocean of beings. In the state of pure intention, I offer the sacred wisdom offering. The clear light realm of primordial purity is unborn, spontaneously perfect, and unconditioned. Various fire offerings, all elaborations (173) are pacified, the palace of the five wisdoms. With the rays of light of the three bodies' activities, the place of spontaneously accomplished nature. I offer to the Gurus, Yidams, the assembly of deities of the Mandala, and the assembly of oath-bound protectors. The realm of clear light, spontaneously accomplished, the five wisdom families. This, which is adorned from the beginning with body and bindu. By offering it well with pure self-appearance. May I enjoy the realm of Samantabhadra's Dharmakaya. Say this three times. Thus, visualizing the realm of the three bodies as a Mandala, offer it three times. Good! Good! Good! (174) (175) The empowerment ritual with elaborations, "The Net of Brahma," abides. (176) In the sky of the Dharmakaya, may the Mandala of the Sambhogakaya expand. May the rays of the Nirmanakaya dispel the darkness of beings' minds. The primordial protector, the five families, together with the lineage. May the wish-fulfilling spontaneously accomplished treasure be at the crown of my mind. The Vajra meaning of the minds of all the Buddhas. From the vast secret teachings of the manifest heart essence. Which is the first of the four ripening empowerments?

Instructions on the order of rituals with elaborations. There are three aspects to this: the qualifications of the person entering the ritual, the proper arrangement of the preliminaries, and the actual empowerment. The first has two parts: The qualifications of the master who teaches are threefold: being skilled in the meaning of the sutras and tantras (177), being familiar with the key points of direct perception, and having the ability to liberate the minds of others after one's own mind has matured. The qualifications of the disciple to be taught are four: generating the perception of the guru who reveals the meaning of the essence of direct perception as a Buddha, being a good field of faith, abandoning non-virtuous actions like poisonous snakes, being generous in offering worldly wealth to request the correct instructions through wisdom, and being generous to the guru without sparing body or life, serving with great devotion and respect. The second aspect is the arrangement: The mandala is square, one fathom in size, as smooth as a mirror, smeared with the five essences of a cow and fragrant water (178), and the lines and colors are blessed as the five wisdoms. Starting from the corners, draw single doors, and in the center of the completed drawing, draw a round blue halo with eight lotus petals. The east is white, the south is yellow, the west is red, and the north is green, alternating beautiful colors in the four directions. Around the edges are silk fringes, door corners, horse landings, and pure lands. On the outside, draw a sun cushion and a vajra fence, surrounded by a garland of five-colored rays. In the center and the four directions, place precious vases of five colors, representing the five families. Each is marked with its respective seed syllable: Decorate the mouths and necks of the vases. Inside, fill them with five precious substances, five grains, five medicines, five incenses, pure water and milk, and soak them with three white foods and three sweet foods. Insert five arrows, five mirrors, five crystals, five kinds of silk, five peacock feathers, and five small images of the five families between the decorations. Also place the skull cup filled with nectar, which is the substance of the secret empowerment. Place four daggers at the four doors and erect four swords at the four corners. Arrange outer and inner offerings around the perimeter, as well as extensive tormas and tsok. Also place the symbolic implements of the third empowerment. Decorate with curtains and thangkas. The third aspect is the actual empowerment (179), which has three parts: blessing oneself and the mandala, introducing the disciples, and bestowing the empowerment. The first is: Secret mantra.
