Place it inside, position it upright, and fill it up. In the gaps, spaces, and ground boundaries of the four directions, in the direction where there is an upward slope. There should be a hollow in the wood, a place to set the blazing fire. Make the hole in the front large enough to insert wood, and then seal it from the outside with bricks or the like. One cubit above the top, make a hole where there is a finger's width. Fill it tightly with small firewood. Above that, build a cremation chamber one cubit high, either round or square. Second, arrange offerings near the corpse, visualize oneself as Samantabhadra and consort, make offerings and praises, and then recite the vase mantra. Sprinkle cleansing water on the corpse, visualize it as a deity touched by flowers, summon the consciousness of the deceased, dispel obstacles, and purify sins. Bathe with the vase water of the dharani mantra, and recite verses such as the six perfections and the four rivers (367), with "oṃ sarva vid vajra adhi tiṣṭha jñāna samaye hūṃ" (藏文:ཨོྃ་སརྦ་བིད་བཛྲ་ཨ་དྷི་ཏིཥྛ་ཛྙཱ་ན་ས་མ་ཡེ་ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:ओँ सर्व विद् वज्र अधि तिष्ठ ज्ञान समये हुं,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ sarva vid vajra adhi tiṣṭha jñāna samaye hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Om, all, know, vajra, abide, wisdom, samaya, hum) bless with the vajra fist, and tie three copies of the root mantras of the five families, one on the crown of the head, one on the throat, and one on the heart, and then make offerings and praises. It is very good to give empowerment at this time, to show the path, and to practice the path, but there is no harm even if it is not done. Then put the corpse into the cremation chamber, dispel obstacles with the sound of musical instruments, and if there is no wooden box or tomb cover, cover it from above. If not, cover it with a square, slightly wider straw mat, or with a pottery with a hole one cubit high. Seal it from the outside with plaster so that no smoke escapes. Third, the offerings are placed in front, the burnt offerings on the right, and the torma on the left. That is, the outer and inner offerings such as offerings and offering water. The burnt offerings are many twelve-finger-long firewood, as well as butter, sesame, mustard, yogurt, rice, and various grains, and cow's milk. Mix these (368) except for firewood and butter in one container, or place them separately. The torma are one transcendent torma, one dakini torma, one protector torma, the fire god torma, the earth god torma, the torma for the six realms, and the exorcism torma, making seven in total. Second, the main part, divided into self-generation, front-generation, and final gathering. First, with the protective circle as the guide, visualize oneself as Samantabhadra, invite the wisdom being, and give empowerment.
