In the expanse of space, the clear and subtle appearance of light and bindu vajra chains represents the five kayas. The appearance of awareness-wisdom as great luminosity in all forms is the body of Vairochana. The absence of clinging to appearances therein is the path, and the ultimate habituation to achieve Vairochana is the fruit. The unchanging luminosity is the body of Akshobhya Vajra, its clarity without conceptualization is the path, its completion and enlightenment therein is the fruit. (379) The luminosity with increasing aspects is the body of Ratnasambhava, the absence of clinging therein is the path, and the time of its accomplishment is the fruit. The complete appearance of emptiness-luminosity is the body of Amitabha, the absence of clinging therein is the path, and accomplishment therein is the fruit. The spontaneous appearance of five lights is the body of Amoghasiddhi, the absence of clinging therein is the path, and the attainment of the body of Amoghasiddhi upon its completion is the fruit. Awareness abides in the five wisdoms. As it says in the Mulamadhyamakakarika: "Mirror, equality, discriminating, accomplishing activity, the sphere of reality is wisdom." Therefore, before the initial separation of samsara and nirvana, the nature of awareness-wisdom is stainless and luminous, it is mirror-like wisdom. In the realm of the senses, not straying from the meaning of luminosity, clearly and distinctly meditating is the path, its completion is the fruit. Such wisdom, the nature of clear five lights, is inseparable anywhere, it is equality wisdom. Meditating on its appearance without bias is the path, its completion is the fruit. The nature of luminosity, equality, appears individually due to the distinctions of mind, it is discriminating (380) wisdom. Its clear aspects appear in various ways, meditating without clinging is the path, its completion is the fruit. The nature of such appearance, spontaneously accomplished without seeking, is activity-accomplishing wisdom. For its meaning, there is no need for asceticism for many kalpas, therefore meditating immediately is the path, completion is the fruit. All of this is devoid of the root of primordial emptiness, it is the wisdom of the sphere of reality. In its state, being free from meditation and non-meditation is the path, completion is the fruit. Again, it abides in the five families, as it says in the Rangshar: "The Tathagata family and, the Vajra and Ratna families, the Padma family and the Karma family." Therefore, the great bliss of luminosity-emptiness is the footprint of all Buddhas, it is the Tathagata family. Unchanging.

Due to being without, it is the Vajra family. Due to the arising of qualities, it is the Ratna family. Due to being unstained by faults, it is the Padma family. If one becomes accustomed to that, then without remainder it is accomplished, hence it is the Karma family, these are four. To become accustomed to that state is the path, the ultimate is the fruit. Also, it abides in the five lights, as it says in the Klong gsal: The qualities of awareness are clear in the five lights. (381) Therefore, the clear light is white because it is without impurity, yellow because the qualities are complete, red because it is unsearched and remains, green because the activity of searching is complete, and blue because it is unchanging and stable, these are four. To abide in that state is the path, the ultimate is the fruit. Also, it abides in the five winds, as it says in the Rang shar: Awareness in the nature of the five winds, abides in all sentient beings. Therefore, this appearance of clear light is not separate from the warmth of wisdom, hence it is the wind equal to fire. It is the life of samsara and nirvana, hence it is the life-sustaining wind. It separates the pure and impure, hence it is the wind that separates the pure and impure. It pervades all, hence it is the pervasive wind. Having cut off the life of samsara, it transports one to the state of nirvana, hence it is without compassion, it is the wind of the activity of the aeon, these are four. If one becomes accustomed to that, it is the path, the ultimate is the fruit. If one realizes this clear light, it is nirvana, if one does not realize it, it sustains the life of samsara. By becoming well accustomed to that, one separates samsara and the pure and impure. All pure and impure is pervaded by the five lights. Also, it abides in the five wisdoms, as it says before (382): That also, in the nature of awareness, possesses the five aspects of wisdom. Therefore, this clear light, by realizing or not realizing, separates samsara and nirvana, hence it is the wisdom of separation. Because it gathers into wisdom, it is the wisdom of gathering. Because it pervades all, it is the wisdom of pervasion. Because the clear part has coming and going, it is the wisdom of movement. If one realizes that, one is liberated from samsara, hence it is the wisdom of liberation, these are four. If one becomes accustomed to that, it is the path, the ultimate is the fruit. Also, it abides in the five dakinis, as it says in the Klong gsal: The wisdom of empty clarity awareness, abides in the five aspects of dakinis. Therefore, with blue light one sees the face of the Buddha dakini, the affliction of delusion is purified, one touches the wisdom of the dharmadhatu. Likewise, with white light one sees the Vajra dakini, anger is purified, one touches mirror-like wisdom. With yellow light one sees the Ratna dakini, pride is purified, one touches equality wisdom. With red light one sees the Padma dakini, desire is purified, one touches discriminating wisdom.
