Legs are stretched out in the stance of a warrior. Eyes gaze upwards into space. Uttering sounds like Haha and Hihi, the mind is placed free from elaboration. As it says in Klong gsal: "Through the gaze of the wrathful one, the three qualities of arrival are also accomplished." Thus, with the view of the Hearers, the three doors of body, speech, and mind, which are not abiding, are made to abide. With the view of the Bodhisattvas, what abides is made stable. With the view of the wrathful ones, what is stable is liberated. Thus, there are two necessities for restoring to its original state: temporarily, a good experience of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality arises in the three doors of body, speech, and mind; ultimately, the meaning of the primordial purity of superior seeing is realized. Thus, if it is not restored to its original state, there are faults that are the opposite of those qualities mentioned above. Third, the way to establish the essence of reality, the nature of trekchö, is as follows: In the "After-Death Meaning Instructions," it says: "With the view of the wrathful one, what is stable is liberated. First, cut off conceptual thoughts. Then, seek the flaw of the mind. Then, examine the three places of origin, dwelling, and going. Then, recognize discursive thoughts as mind. Recognize mind as emptiness. Recognize emptiness as appearance. Recognize appearance and emptiness as non-dual. Recognize non-duality as self-liberation. Recognize the five poisons as self-liberation. Recognize the five gates as self-liberation. Recognize the six aggregates as self-liberation." Thus, by placing it in its natural state, the meaning of trekchö is determined. Therefore, for this, with three preliminaries (353), the unborn state of union of calm and insight is generated. With three main practices, what is born is recognized. With three subsequent self-liberations, what is born is matured and skill is cultivated. The three are: first, cutting off conceptual thoughts; in the middle, seeking the flaw of the mind; and finally, examining the three places of origin, dwelling, and going. The first is: from the three doors of body, speech, and mind, where does the one who wanders in samsara reside? Who is the one who makes assertions and negations? Who is the one who goes from the previous life to this one, and from this one to the next? Which is the most important? By asking and examining in this way, the mind is the most important. Knowing this is the first cutting off of conceptual thoughts. Second, if the mind of the one who acts in this way clings to everything as self, and clings to "I" as true, then are the three doors of body, speech, and mind one? Are they different? If they are one, just as the mind is invisible, the body also becomes invisible, and the body
