And abide. Then, one element is subdued by another element and contracts downwards, the pure parts gradually dry up, the faculties decline and age, and from within the elements begin to disorder. Due to scattering, when life comes to an end, there is only the rise and fall of the elements. Thus, the five outer and inner elements are grasped as the body of wisdom, although they appear as duality. But originally, the great wisdom of non-duality abides in the Buddha-field of the five families. As it is said in the Lion's Roar: "From the five realms appear the bodies of five lights, the three existences (132) are the Buddha-field itself." Third, explaining delusion as a secret, as it is said in the Great Array: "In the realm of spontaneous emptiness, it arises. At that time, from the wheel of delusion of the four conditions, it becomes bound with grasping." And as it is said in the Lamp That Illuminates: "The original, primordial, pure basis, its essence, nature, and compassion, is the nature of the three wisdoms. From this uncertain, spontaneously accomplished basis, the three ignorances and the four conditions, and the delusion of the accumulation of consciousness." Also, the cause and seed of delusion are: The clear part appears outwards, consciousness is clear and aware, this is from the three ignorances, the appearance of a moment's outward scattering, with the mind that grasps the object as self, for the basis and the appearance of the basis, it mistakes the basis and the basis as different. From the cause of delusion, the object and condition meet, the object of the four conditions is impure, the clear parts of various appearances are mixed. The grasping of the six consciousnesses does not cease, the six afflictions bind the self, the appearances of the six objects arise separately. Thus, because of grasping the object as self, (133) then gradually, the container and essence of the world, many appearances gather into form. Children who do not understand this, like drawing water, continue continuously. Each of their bodies and completeness, as it is said. The inner clarity of the original, primordial pure basis, from which the four appearances of self-nature spontaneously arise, but not recognizing them as self-sounding, therefore, it becomes the sole cause and the co-emergent ignorance. The thought of grasping the object-light appearance as an object arises, which is the ignorance of conceptual imputation, the inner clarity of awareness is driven by the horse of the four life-winds, and only awareness appears on the object. Thus, the momentary consciousness of the three ignorances gathering together, is deluded by grasping the object as self. That is also the grasper and the grasped.

After the appearance of the first three weeks has subsided, in the fourth week, due to the clinging of the three ignorances, upwards are the body and wisdom, and in between, the appearance of the nature emanation body also subsides. Its radiance goes downwards, and in the abodes of the six types of beings, in the appearance of the six Thubpas, there is attachment to the realms of gods and humans, hatred towards the lower realms, or the mind's clinging to any self-appearance. On the Alaya (134), the imprints of the six realms are left. The seeds for being born in them, the six A-nri-pre-du-su-tri, are clarified, and with this as the beginning, in the second instant, the appearance of the field of the emanation body that tames beings also subsides. Clinging to the previous appearance arises there, and thus there is delusion in the respective realms of the six realms. Therefore, just like waking up from a dream, the way the respective realms appear, the formation of the outer and inner worlds is as follows: Like this, from the previous appearance, the essence of emptiness, the part without distinctions, merely opens up opportunities from space, forming the appearance of a realm. From the part of the self-luminous light, the actual light appearance of body and wisdom disappears. When the light of self-nature and the light of reflection, the latter two, appear inwards, clinging arises. Each one is in accordance with what it was before, with the imprints left on the six realms of appearance. From the light of reflection, outwards, the realms of the six realms appear as six different kinds. That is, the gods of meditation have the realm of clear light, the formless gods have the realm of non-conceptual mind, the gods of desire have the realm of coarse joy and pleasure, humans (135) have the respective realms of the four continents, and the three lower realms have the realm of distorted self-appearance. The six appear to be established separately. For those with similar self-appearances, they appear to be similar, but in reality, they are not established as different. Because of the difference between pure and impure self-appearances, the realms of appearance are different, just like the realms of appearance in a dream. The cause of these is that there is nothing other than the appearance of wisdom appearing as different from one realm of appearance. As Longchen Rabjam says: "The essence of wisdom is the only one, appearances differ because of different clingings." So it is said. At the time of appearance, it is also from one mind that different appearances arise. As the great scholar Vasubandhu said: "Because one thing is different in mind, the meaning is seen as not established." As it is said. So, are these appearances of external realms not material objects with self-characteristics created from the aggregation of particles? Is it not that they appear to exist as solid and viscous? No, it is not.
