The way the four elements dissolve when falling asleep, The ignorance of sleep is the clear light of the base, The various dreams are the appearances of the bardo, The appearance of waking up is the realm of the self-nature nirmanakaya. Having traveled, whatever appears is the realm of self-nature purity, Sentient beings should remember themselves as gods and goddesses. Abandon ordinary thoughts and clinging to one's own continuum, Sleep, dreams, and the appearance of waking up, Having realized them as dharmakaya, sambhogakaya, and nirmanakaya, With the three aspects of calm (508) abiding and insight, Sleep in the great state of bliss, clarity, non-thought, and beyond mind. Thereby, sleep and dreams cease, And abide in the state of primordial purity and clear light. Thus, there are three ways of falling asleep, Spreading out without clinging on a comfortable bed, Sleeping in the state of clear light dharmakaya, Dreams cease, and delusion dissolves into the base. In the emptiness of self-nature, free from elaboration, Likewise, in the vase-like space of inner light, Sleeping without clinging to the five wisdom lights, Dreams dissolve into the state of clear light sambhogakaya. The appearance of body and bindu, the five lights, arises, The appearance of pure realms is seen as the appearance of the five families, The self-nature of appearance is free from elaboration. Likewise, in the world of the nirmanakaya of one's own body, Focus intently with the mind at the feet of the teacher, Gather the mind and sleep on the seed syllables of the five families, Dreams and bardo dissolve into the nirmanakaya, And various realm appearances such as Abhirati arise. In the future, one will surely be liberated in that pure realm, The various non-dual pure (509) nirmanakayas. There are three aspects of sleep, dreams, and waking up, The way of abiding in the three kayas from the beginning, Like the appearance of two reflections, By familiarizing oneself with the path, the fruit is the liberation of the three kayas. Also, the key to familiarization is to practice in this way, When waking up, all places are realms of the nirmanakaya, Clearly visualize Abhirati and other realms and arise. At all times, the three times are the realms of the three kayas, Practice the yoga of the complete clear light three kayas. Know that the non-duality of object and mind is self-appearance, With the conduct like a face and a mirror, Afflictions, attachment, and aversion are self-liberated from self-appearance, Self-arisen, primordially liberated like a knot in the sky. Like something made and undone by one's own mind, Practice by knowing all appearing conditions in that way. Thus, at all times of conduct, The self-appearance of the lower ones.

The Buddhafields of the five lineages, take the path of practicing the outer, inner, and secret three. By this, the spontaneously accomplished Samantabhadra field, with great diligence (510) is attained in this life. Mediocre ones merge luminosity and non-duality in the bardo. Inferior ones are liberated into the nature-body. With this key of habituation, it is quickly accomplished. In short, remember the instructions of the bardo at sleep time. When rising, practice the skill of the nature-body. When holding luminosity outwardly during the day, practice the great self-liberation of appearance and mind as non-dual. When holding luminosity inwardly at night, send the three bodies indivisible to the exhaustion of primordiality. When rising, in the field appearance of the nature-body, practice the great luminosity of illusion and dream. Whatever afflictions arise, such as attachment and aversion, practice non-grasping self-liberation, free from object and subject. Circumstances are a mirror for practicing the skill of mind. As it appears, practice non-grasping. Thus, in outer and inner existence, all phenomena, there is not a speck that is not practiced. Therefore, whatever arises, appearance or mind, practice the skill of self-liberation. This is the practice of the most profound essence, uniting calm and insight, non-dual. Appearance and emptiness, skillful means (511) and wisdom, are primordially united. The meaning beyond acceptance and rejection, hope and fear, affirmation and negation, Padmasambhava indicated and departed with the skill of karmic connection. From the instructions on the secret conduct Vajra Path, the second chapter is the Vajra of Practice. Thus, view and practice are brought into conduct. Without confidence, decline and obstacles will descend. Whatever arises, happiness or suffering, misery or sickness, go to a solitary place such as a charnel ground. Completely abandon pure vows, shame, and pretense. With the view and practice of non-dual self-liberation and oneself, and the conduct of a madman, free from acceptance and rejection, walking, sitting, jumping, running, speaking, laughing, drinking, singing, joy and sorrow, attachment and aversion, happiness and suffering, practice seeing, hearing, and remembering the conduct of the six realms. Afterwards, whatever arises, with the skill of self-liberation, see if the meaning of view and practice is integrated. As long as dualistic grasping and affirmation-negation have not subsided, practice the conduct of a madman with diligence. At night, naturally and comfortably lying down, completely free from thoughts of memory, thinking, scattering, and gathering, unborn (512) spontaneous perfection.
