Now, the great wisdom is the intention of all Buddhas. Because there is no difference or inconsistency, it exists uniquely, self-illuminating, and without grasping. Thus it is said. In short, the original ground, essence, nature, and compassion are the three aspects of it. As it is said in the Ornament of Clear Realization: "What is the first place of liberation?" As it has been extensively explained above, it is sufficient to stop elaborating. Secondly, the way the Sambhogakaya manifests from that is: from the sound of the inner luminosity Dharmakaya, compassion arises (466) to tame sentient beings. The five families of Buddhas, like the moon in water, naturally appear in the wheel of marks and signs. The body, speech, and mind are inexhaustible, and with the wheel of ornaments, until samsara is empty, the work of benefiting beings is continuous. As it is said in the Ornament of Clear Realization: "The Sambhogakaya has body, speech, and mind, qualities, and activities. The body is appearance without inherent existence, luminosity and the illuminator pervade wisdom. Speech is self-born and self-appearing, the wheel of manifestation of expansion and contraction. Mind is continuous vision, and the power of knowledge and intention. Qualities are the perfection of marks and signs, the perfection of clear intention and direct knowledge. Activities are from the Dharma wheel, outwardly, inwardly, and secretly elaborated, and also to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of each family, from the self-born tongue, they are elaborated, showing their own nature to the retinue." Thus it is said. That is, the body is appearance without inherent existence, and speech is the six self-born syllables emanating from the root of the tongue, proclaiming the Dharma that tames whatever needs taming, pervading all Buddhas and sentient beings. The nature of the five wisdoms of compassion continuously watches over sentient beings. (467) The Sambhogakaya directly watches over its own retinue with the five wisdoms of omniscience. That is, the Dharmadhatu wisdom makes it unmoving from its original state. Mirror-like wisdom makes the inner knowledge uninterrupted. Equality wisdom enjoys the non-dual Dharma. Discriminating wisdom knows the inner and outer knowable without confusion. Accomplishing wisdom's activities, the activities are endless like the sky, never ceasing. That is, it is not inwardly clear like the Dharmakaya, nor does it outwardly manifest gross objects for enjoyment like the Nirmanakaya, but is directly clear and empty, non-dual.

In the self-nature of non-existence, abides the rain of wisdom, compassion, and awareness of all-knowing. In the mandala of the light of wisdom, with the image of the manifesting water moon, transcending from the ground and arising naturally, it is called the Sambhogakaya. The detailed explanation has been given before, so I will not elaborate. Third, the manifestation of the Nirmanakaya from that (page 468): From the radiance of the Sambhogakaya, the Svabhavikakaya benefits the Bodhisattvas who have purified their karma in the ten directions and who abide on the bhumis. From that radiance, the Nirmanakaya, which tames beings, emanates in the form of the six Munis in the six realms to benefit beings, just as hundreds of millions of Shakyamuni Buddhas in Jambudvipa benefit beings in hundreds of millions. From that, the impure Nirmanakaya spreads: birth, old age, sickness, death, various crafts, highways, lush trees, flowing rivers, ponds, great fish, jewels, lotuses, wish-fulfilling trees, Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Indra, Brahmins, daughters, boys, deer, pleasure gardens, etc., whatever is needed and whatever is to be tamed, emanates into that form, benefiting beings extensively, constantly, and skillfully. Now, it seems that both the previous Sambhogakaya and the Svabhavikakaya (page 469) benefit those who abide on the Bodhisattva bhumis, but they are not the same. The previous Sambhogakaya, although appearing to teach the Dharma to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of self-nature, is not the one to be tamed or the one who tames, as it is said in the Ornament of Liberation: "Other than yourself, the vessel of the Bodhisattva." Thus, the Svabhavikakaya benefits the Bodhisattvas who abide on the bhumis. Thus, the body of that Nirmanakaya is adorned with marks and signs or without marks and signs, in accordance with those to be tamed. The speech is the Dharma taught in accordance with the appearances of each, with the sixty branches of Brahma's voice, etc. The mind is the wisdom of all-knowing, which acts with the appearance of external objects, knowing the nature of reality as it is, and speaking of the profound, peaceful, and single taste of the ultimate Dharma, free from elaboration, and knowing the various phenomena without mixing them, speaking of the Dharma of conventional truth, karma and the ripening of karma.
