Staying there is the ultimate degree of familiarity. Thus it is said. Therefore, when the appearance of the bardo is determined, there is no bardo afterwards. The merit of increasing experience is: In the 'Klong gsal': When the appearance of the body increases and completes the experience, The appearance of the bardo is cut off here, Recognizing enjoyment, the bardo is emptied. Thus it is said. The fault of not increasing is: In the same: If the appearance of experience does not increase, One will not be liberated from the bardo. Thus it is said. There are also two necessities: temporarily obtaining the qualities of the stages of experiential appearance, and ultimately being liberated into one's own place in the appearance of the bardo. If it does not increase in this way, it is a fault that is the opposite of that quality. The third is the appearance of the measure of awareness reaching its limit: In the 'Klong gsal': If awareness does not reach its limit, The warmth of yoga will not be attained. Therefore, the measure of awareness reaching its limit is: In the 'Thal 'gyur': The appearance of the measure of awareness reaching its limit is: The sambhogakaya is clear with marks and examples, From indefinite colors and rainbows, The five families appear as father and mother. Then five by five with consorts, Connected to extremely clear bindus. Having the form of father and mother bodies, Delusional appearances cease and become pure lands. Thus it is said. (407) The appearance of space, without any appearance of earth, water, fire, or wind, In the great clear light, the pure realm, The lamp is connected to the appearance of each bindu as the father and mother of the body, And then the five bodies appear as father and mother. At the boundary of awareness, the five bodies also appear as father and mother. At this time, one's own coarse body is purified and appears as light, From the crown of the head upwards, nine bindus appear like stacked bowls, One's own body is coiled in a wheel of light, In the lamp manifesting activity it says: The measure of very, very perfect familiarity, Without movement or flickering, Without the appearance of day and night, Is the measure of extreme familiarity. Self-appearance appears as a continuous stream of bodies, In the spaces like words, In bindus the size of mustard seeds, The body appears very subtly, When all appearances appear as the body, It is the measure of stable awareness. The appearance of earth, water, fire, and wind, When the appearance of the four elements ceases, With the light of the five colors, Wherever one looks, it appears there, Space is the measure of stability (408). One's own body is on top of light, Like stacked

As it says, "When the ladder ascends upwards, the steadiness of the lamp is the measure." At that time, the hearts of all the Buddhas and one's own heart are connected by a thread of light like a tassel of light. After that, even without meditation, one reaches the measure, so there is no change. At that time, the outer appearance dissolves into clear light, so the appearance of earth and stones disappears by itself. The inner illusory body dissolves into clear light, so the appearance of obstacles disappears by itself. The secret radiance of the mind dissolves into the heart, so the appearance of grasping and fixation disappears by itself. The connection of karma and habitual patterns is severed. Thus, the qualities of awareness reaching its limit are as follows: As it says in "Vast Expanse of Clarity," "By the appearance of awareness reaching its limit, inner and outer grasping and fixation are freed from obstacles." The fault of not reaching the limit is: "Thus, if the limit is not reached, the appearance of clinging to the aggregates will not change." So it is said. There are also two needs: temporarily, it is okay not to meditate, and ultimately, one recognizes the body of perfect enjoyment, so in the realm of the enjoyment body, great bliss (409) is inseparable. If it is not like that, there is a fault of regression. Fourth, the appearance of the exhaustion of phenomena is the increase and decrease of those experiences. The essence of clinging to appearance and non-appearance is non-existent, which is called the appearance of the exhaustion of phenomena. As it says in "Consequence," "The appearance of the exhaustion of phenomena is when the appearance of experience is empty, the body is exhausted, and the objects of the senses are also exhausted. The collection of thoughts is self-liberated, and it is separated from the words of expression." So it says. Experience, body, senses, collection of thoughts, words, and all delusions are exhausted, and one attains Buddhahood in a light body. Also, at the time of this appearance, only the spreading of fingers can be seen in the light, and one is separated from the concepts of samsara and nirvana. The essence of what appears is also not established. Even if it becomes like that, the awareness does not become greater or smaller from the beginning, because it does not decrease or increase. At that time, the enemies of the elements cannot harm it. Memory goes without a trace like a whirlwind. There is no appearance of the sun and moon. There is no appearance of going and staying. The disappearance of all delusions is (410) the measure of the maturity of awareness. It is impossible to separate from that. The appearance dissolves into self-extinction, and it is not established as being like this. This is called the self-purification of the Dharmakaya, the point where all phenomena are exhausted. The essence of one's own awareness is not established as being great or small, good or bad, but is the great compassion of
