The absorption of body heat causes the nostrils to dry. As the wind dissolves into the wind, the eyes turn upwards, the body trembles, and the limbs flail. At that time, the wind of movement dissipates, the body cannot support itself, the knees buckle, the limbs become uncoordinated, speech becomes difficult, the eyes turn upwards, and the breath is exhaled. The wind that generates radiance dissipates, causing dust to accumulate in the body and nostrils. The purifying wind that distinguishes between fresh smells and foul odors dissipates, causing a loss of appetite and bodily strength. The wind that is associated with fire dissipates, causing the body's heat to dissipate from the extremities. The wind of karmic fortune dissipates, causing the mind to become confused and agitated, and the blood from the minor vessels gathers into the life-force channel. At that time, the external appearance becomes dim, like dusk. Consciousness gathers in the center of the heart, and memory fades. From the life-force channel, the first drop of blood strikes the heart, causing the face and eyes to turn pale. The second drop causes the head to convulse, and with a "ha" sound, the breath shoots out a distance of an arrow and then stops. The third drop causes an "iga" sound, and the breath shoots out a distance of a fathom, and then the external breath stops. At that time (379), consciousness faints in the heart due to the blood, and for the duration of a person eating a meal, there is no memory or thought. The third is the Bardo of Dharmata, because one knows that the enemy on the path is one's own friend, there is no fear, or like the confidence of a mother and child meeting, this is the distinction of the senses. The final excellent metaphor is like a vase breaking. After that, the wind dissolves into consciousness, causing the internal breath to cease. Consciousness dissolves into space, and the mind dissolves into the Dharmadhatu, after a brief faint, just as one is about to awaken, it is called the space of the peaceful Dharmakaya. An appearance arises like the cloudless sky of late summer and early autumn, and merely recognizing this, one is naturally liberated on the basis of primordial purity. After that, it is called the dissolution of space into clear light. Rays of light shoot out from one's own two eyes, and the light rays shoot into the expanse of the sky, this is called the rope of the eyes' compassion that never ceases. By focusing consciousness on that, one can penetrate upwards and be liberated in primordial purity. If one does not recognize this, light rays will emanate from it, and the appearance will not change immediately, the pure land of clear light will appear like the sun shining on a mirror. After that, the appearances of stones, mountains, rocks, trees, forests, the sun, the moon (380), and so on, disappear, and the inner light of Dharmata

The clear self-appearance is perfectly pure and free from stains, clear and dazzling, and the splendor of its nature is awe-inspiring. Like seeing the great outer ocean, sparks of fire shine everywhere, pervading the limits of the sky, causing existence and appearance to blaze as a mass of light and rays. When lifted, it pulsates; when pressed, it softens. At this time, one's own self appears as a luminous body of light, and the entire surroundings are covered by a vast tent of five-colored rays. All appearances are vast and magnificent, arising without being specifically defined. At that time, recognizing that all arising appearances are self-appearances, one is liberated into self-appearance. Then, what is called absorption into the union of luminosity is when those appearances arise as assemblies of peaceful and wrathful deities. At that time, a liberation occurs like seeing the mane of a lion in the intermediate state of death. In an instant, bodies of radiance emanate, and as the mandala of wrathful deities gradually arises in the form of sound, light, and rays, one remembers the previously practiced instructions, and the original luminosity of the ground, the mother, and the later arising luminosity of the spontaneously born child, the two luminosities of mother and child merge, and one is liberated into self-arising and self-appearance. Then, (381) there is also what is called the appearance of the great union. The peaceful assemblies of the heart center arise in five sets, one after another. On the first day, the radiance of the pure sky arises, and in the center of the blue, the assemblies of the five families, headed by Vairochana, appear in countless millions. Recognizing them as self-appearances, one is liberated into the essence of Vairochana. Similarly, on the remaining four days, the assemblies of the other four families, each with their respective bodhisattvas, bodhisattvis, and gatekeepers, appear. The mandalas of the five assemblies are inexpressible millions, so that in all directions, above and below, the five families are complete with five aspects, and with their consorts, they are complete with ten aspects. And each of these, with the distinctions of elements and wisdoms, has ten aspects each, making a hundred aspects. And each of these appears in the ten directions with a hundred aspects each, making a thousand aspects. And from the radiance of each of these, again in the ten directions, that many appearances arise, making a million aspects. And the bodies of the Buddhas that arise from the appearances of each of these are inconceivable, clear and dazzling everywhere that space pervades, magnificent, tall, and adorned with excellent arrangements (382). At that time, one should remember the instructions on the three key points: entering is the key point of knowing, liberation is the key point of the body, and ultimate completion is
