English
Do. Among the three necessities, the common ones are to eliminate sins, pacify obstacles, and reverse attachment. The special ones are that the body does not revert to samsara and is liberated as a nirmanakaya. The ultimate one is to pass into nirvana in the realm of the vajra body. The preliminary practice of speech also has four aspects: blessing, practice, seeking suppleness, and entering the path. The first one has two parts (342). The blessing of the outer appearance is: with the teeth and lips barely touching, mix the wind and consciousness with the three syllables of Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽) into one. By singing the song of Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽) sweetly and long, contemplate that all appearances are filled with Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽) syllables, each like a flame. It is the measure when each Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽) syllable appears like a flame in the outer appearance. The blessing of the inner aggregates is: when reciting Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽), contemplate that those outer Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽) syllables enter through the nostrils and gently dissolve into the body. It is the measure when you feel discomfort in the body or feel that the body is filled with Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽). The necessity is that all appearances, both inner and outer, become devoid of inherent existence. The second is practice, which also has two parts. The practice of the outer appearance is: contemplate that a dark blue Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽) syllable blazing with fire burns all the large and small forms outside into ashes, burning upwards, downwards, and into holes, and recite the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽) syllable strongly and powerfully. It is the measure when you feel that the appearance becomes clear and transparent and dissolves into emptiness. The practice of the inner aggregates is: with the same focus, fill your own body completely without any gaps. It is the measure of accomplishment when the body appears like a reflection of the moon in water and the experience of no inherent existence arises. The necessity is that all tangible phenomena, both inner and outer, will dissolve like clear light and rainbows. The third is seeking suppleness (343): in front, erect a stick and wrap it with a thread of Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽) syllables. When it reaches the top, focus your consciousness on it as if it were being released outwards, and recite the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽) syllable for a long time. It is the measure when you feel that the consciousness stays steadily where it is focused. This has the necessity of being able to transform into any object of focus. The fourth is entering the path: contemplate a path in front that is like the crawling of a worm, winding back and forth, long and distant, reaching the end. Recite the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽) syllable for a long time and focus your mind on going beyond it to a place without end. It is the measure when experiences such as joy and sorrow arise. This has the necessity of entering the tradition of body and speech. Having done the preliminary practice of speech in this way, there are three necessities:
