Where does it transform? That orphan child is placed in the bardo of birth and death. Does it seem as if experiencing various sufferings? Yet, it is merely named an orphan. Likewise, the mind without acceptance or rejection, coming or going, Is merely a name, without a particle to grasp. The appearance of birth and death, words, is like a dream. Just as in a dream, oneself dies, Then enters the bardo, and the appearance of birth, Yet one has not moved even slightly from one's own bed. There is no birth, no death, no going to the bardo, No moving from the naturally liberated nature of reality. Understand that all is like the sky. Alas, friends, look at your own mind. With what do you meditate on what? Is there something to meditate on? After meditating, does the mind become white like a snow mountain, And if not meditating, does it become black like charcoal? Awareness and non-awareness, bliss and clarity (401), generation and completion. If after meditating, the mind becomes like that, Then henceforth, will it block other arising thoughts? Although it seems like progress after meditating a little, It is like water collected in a pond with effort, The river of conceptual proliferation flows to the land. Various thoughts appear coarse due to attachment. Likewise, whatever deluded thoughts arise, Does the mind change because of that, becoming dark? If that is the case, the non-conceptual virtuous mind, Will never bring any benefit to beings. Therefore, do not calculate whatever arises. Whether it spreads or wavers, it is of no importance. Whether it abides or is grasped, what is there to cling to? Its nature is naturally settled, do not fabricate it. Even if you seal the mind of bliss with emptiness, You will not transcend the desire realm even slightly, Whether clear or unclear, form or formless, Even if you stop attachment and meditate on emptiness, it is in vain. You cannot transcend the three places of happy migrations. If there is attachment, you will be bound in the three places of bad migrations. No matter how you try, you cannot be liberated from samsara. (402) No matter what thoughts arise, if you do not cling to them, You will not abide in samsara, nor will you abide in nirvana. You attain nirvana in the state of self-liberation and equality. Friends, think about it, no matter how you meditate, it is in vain. Does the mind exist in the meaning of meditation or not? If it exists, then it is already accomplished, what need is there to meditate? If it does not exist, then meditation is meaningless, only a cause of fatigue. If you say it is to clarify that meaning, If it does not exist, there is nothing to clarify, if it exists, there is no need. No matter how you try, wisdom

Is the dharma of antidote. In it, there is a box of delusion, there is bondage. If you don't fabricate anything and know how to let it be, Then no one can bind you, you transcend the limits of existence and peace. As long as there is meditation, there are views and conduct, As long as that is the case, there is dharma, there is desire for a vehicle. There is existence in that, there is suffering of samsara. Whoever has no dharma, has no desire for a vehicle, He has no existence, there is no suffering of existence. Like the sky, what can stain it? Thus, if the base and root are well decided, Then there is no difference what appears day and night. Without regard for mindfulness, why grasp at dreams? Without increase or decrease, what is there to practice? Like people in a dream, going and staying, Walking and sleeping, eating and arising, (403) Joy and displeasure, whatever appears, But in its own course, there is no antidote of mindfulness. This is a dream, this is the dreamer, Without dualistic thought, without duality, without concept. Whatever arises, there is no calculation apart from meaning. At that time, whatever good or bad appears in the dream, Because there is no grasping, there is no karma, no ripening. Likewise, the appearance of the daytime when awake, Likewise, do not grasp, like a person in a dream. If you do not fabricate with an antidote in your own state, Then there is no box of bondage, no karmic results, no ripening. Alas, friends! The mind of moving awareness, Like a young child, let it be freely, as you please. Devoid of memory and thought, with the conduct of a madman, Whatever comes, whatever happens, let it fall like a great thunderbolt. Relax in your own state, with the demeanor of an old man, Without a box, with a wide heart, let whatever arises be natural. It is the vast expanse of the great yogi's thought. All kinds of memory and awareness are wisdom, Self-arising, self-liberating, Samantabhadra Dharmakaya, It is spontaneously accomplished, it has been there from the beginning. Thus, other than Samantabhadra himself, A particle cannot be found, it is enlightened from the beginning. Thus (404) knowing, you transcend all bondage and liberation, It is the vast expanse of the ground of nature. Alas, friends! The mind of various awarenesses, Wherever it arises, if there is no grasping there, However it appears, it is not stained by anything, Like the image appearing on the surface of a mirror. On the mirror of mind itself, which is pure from the beginning, Whatever images of affirmation and negation appear, It is not stained by them, the basis of appearance cannot be broken. Self-nature is without establishment, self-appearance.
