'Bcas pa ni' refers to placing these, along with the explicitly mentioned power, ability, protectors, etc., within the scope of one's hand. 'La' means 'for them.' 'Respectfully prostrate' refers to conduct, etc. Among these, conduct refers to respect. The essence of respect is the activity of the three doors: the body touching the five places, the speech praising and expressing wishes, and the mind only thinking of offering and bowing. The action to be done is 'prostration,' and 'prostration' means 'bhandhana,' which is binding or gathering. As the aforementioned way of prostration, it is: 'Completely pure, the guru accepts the prostration with lotus feet.' 'Bgyi'o' refers to committing oneself to doing what is appropriate to do. Furthermore, the phrase 'together with the lineage' summarizes: 'Endowed with sons, the excellent spiritual friend who pleases all Buddhas, delights all wise ones, and whose actions are virtuous.' Here, 'sons' are, as the teacher Chandrakirti said: 'Those born from the words of the Buddha,' referring to the Shravakas born from the words of the Sugata; as the protector Maitreya said: 'The sons of the Buddhas are the basis of Buddhahood,' referring to the Bodhisattvas born from the heart of the king, capable of inheriting the lineage, they are the heart-sons of the Buddha. 'Bcas pa ni' refers to having the retinue of speech-sons and heart-sons. What is that? It is 'རྒྱལ་བ་' (Tibetan, Sanskrit देवाजया, Romanized Sanskrit devajaya, literal meaning: Victorious One), which is so-called because of overcoming the four maras with the power of perfecting the two accumulations. As Rabjor Dawa said: 'The one who subdues the maras is the Victorious One.' 'Dges pa ni' refers to their minds being very pleased. 'Spiritual friend' etc. are the objects of joy. 'Spiritual friend' refers to a friend who fills one's own being with qualities, turns beings away from evil, and leads them to virtue. Geshe Gonpo said: 'These spiritual friends, please briefly understand their characteristics: content, compassionate, possessing discipline, and having the wisdom to eliminate afflictions.' 'Supreme' refers to the chief among them. Who is that? It is 'wise ones' etc. 'Wise one' refers to the great wise one who knows the subjects of knowledge as they are, and the small one who only knows some aspects of knowledge. As Jamyang Tulpa said: 'The wise one is considered to be the one who truly understands the knowable itself. Knowing the meaning of separate studies, that person is also wise.' 'Kun gyi' is a plural word, referring to the assembly of wise ones. 'Dga' mdzad ni' refers to the respective wisdoms..." ] } --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Satisfying them with corresponding excellent explanations, as said by an emanation of Mañjuśrī: 'For those with great intellect, it is profound and vast; for those with small intellect, it is easy to grasp and simple to understand.' Activity: This refers to the collection of deeds, which are the infinite varieties of beings to be tamed. Excellent: Among these, the most outstanding is the well-explained, as it is the cause of the three liberations. This reveals the excellence of activity through the aspect of names. The word 'and' can be used for both distinguishing and collecting, here it is for collecting what follows. Thus, the three, such as the Lord of Yoga, are explicitly mentioned. By implication, all lineage lamas are shown as objects of prostration, and then again, with a manner of remembering the kindness of the root lama, offering is made: 'The very embodiment of glorious Bodhicitta Vajra, may that supreme guide protect me once more.' 'Glorious' refers to the completion of both the accumulation of merit in terms of method and the accumulation of wisdom in terms of wisdom, thus it is the non-dual wisdom that combines the two, as stated in the root tantra: 'Śrī (藏文,梵文天城体,श्री,梵文罗马拟音,śrī,auspiciousness) is non-dual wisdom.' 'Possessing' means having these, connecting with the following words. 'Bodhicitta' refers to both relative and ultimate bodhicitta, here the latter is mainly emphasized. That is one of the names of the Great Vajradhara, as stated in the Guhyasamāja Root Tantra: 'In the Secret Assembly, when asked how to view the initiation master, the answer is: 'Son of the lineage, all Tathāgatas and Bodhisattvas should view him as Bodhicitta.' 'Why is that? Because the master is the same as Bodhicitta, and the two are inseparable.' 'Vajra' is as previously explained, therefore it is Bodhicitta Vajra. 'Very embodiment' means showing that the essence of the holy lama is Vajradhara, as stated in the Explanatory Tantra Vajra Garland: 'The essence of the lama is Vajradhara.' 'Supreme Guide' has been explained before. 'Once more' means that because great faith is needed, it is mentioned with honorific terms, and the words of offering and praise appear twice, as it is said: 'In wonder and debate, anger and dejection, certainty and grasping, faith and joy, in these cases, a word appears twice.' 'Me' refers to the object to be protected, which is the author. 'Protect' refers to how to protect, until the completion of the work, and afterwards for the benefit of others. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
