Seventh, the Ornament of Stating Another Meaning: First, state the object to be proven, and then state something that can generally prove it. For example: 'The powerful lord of Lanka (Ravana), also went to the other side due to karma.' All men are subject to death, who can defy this certainty?' This can be recognized as an example. The great Pandit Shakya Chokden, in his praise of the Mighty Sage, in the section praising with the ornament of stating another meaning, said: 'Because there is no high position that cannot be attained without a thousand efforts, even the one with great fortitude practiced austerities by the sea.' The wise Konchok Lhundrup, in his praise of Vajra Saraswati, in the section praising with the ornament of stating another meaning, first states the desired object, and then uses it to prove other things, which is called the ornament of stating another meaning. In the actual praise: 'Saraswati's beautiful face, with a joyful smile, makes the joy of beings new and flourishing, and is it not wisdom to be manifestly similar to the beauty of the goddess of the beautiful spring?' Eighth, the Ornament of Difference or Distinction: First, show that two things are similar, and then show that there is a difference that makes them dissimilar. For example: 'Your face and the jasmine flower are similar in whiteness and beauty, but the moon is distinguished by the image of a rabbit, while your face is distinguished by lotus-like eyes.' This can be recognized as an example. The great Pandit Shakya Chokden, in his praise of the Mighty Sage, in the section praising with the ornament of difference, said: 'The protector walks under the Bodhi tree, at the same time the sun also moves to the east, the midday wind blows to the west, who can stop the protector's progress?' The wise Konchok Lhundrup, in his praise of Vajra Saraswati, in the section praising with the ornament of difference, first states two similar things, and then distinguishes their differences, which is called the ornament of difference. In the actual praise: 'Saraswati, with her beautiful white light that dispels the darkness of all minds, is similar to the stainless autumn moon, but your body, is radiant with the adornments of desirable marks and signs.'

The Ornament of 'Having': It refers to the reversal of some causes that are known in the world, showing that results can arise without causes. For example: lotuses arise without mud, musical instruments sound without being played, there are beautiful women without adornment, and they come here without being summoned. It is understood in this way. When the great Pandit Shakya Chokden praised Thubten Wangpo (Lord Buddha), he praised him with the ornament of 'Having': 'Without the need for strong armor, without wielding sharp weapons, without deploying troops, you conquer the armies of Mara.' When the learned Konchok Lhundrup praised Vajra Saraswati, he praised her with the ornament of 'Having': 'Reversing well-known causes, showing the nature of the result, or subtly indicating other causes, this is called 'Having'.' In the actual praise: 'Without wiping, the face is bright and clean; without lifting, the crown is high in the battlefield of Brahma; without drawing, the lines of auspicious marks are clearly visible; even without summoning, all beings desire you.' Because it is said so. Similarly, the learned Konchok Lhundrup said in praise of Palden Sakya Manjushri: 'Without churning the mountain king in the ocean of milk, and without tiring the lord of nagas, who created these wonderful sun and moon earrings that surpass other ornaments and the light of the stars?' He also said: 'Without wiping, the Dharma realm is pure and bright; without creating, the clear mind lake is without distinction; without fabrication, the spontaneously accomplished Manjushri, if one knows well, one can obtain fearlessness towards all that is to be known without learning.' Because it is said so. Tenth, the Ornament of 'Abbreviation': Thinking of another intention in the mind, but speaking of another thing in the mouth. For example, when creating some very excellent works, it is said: 'Even if the light of the moon diminishes, and demons and ghosts do not like it, in order to eliminate darkness and for the lotus to bloom, this sun with ten thousand rays will rise.' It is understood in this way. When the great Pandit Shakya Chokden praised Thubten Wangpo, he praised him with the ornament of 'Abbreviation': 'Jealousy diminishes the face of the moon, making the daughter of darkness ashamed, the complete sun disc, achieving enlightenment, this is truly amazing!' It is said so. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
