These explanations rely primarily on the Mother Tantras in general, and specifically on the Hevajra Tantra. Among these, the second section of the eighth chapter of the Samputa Tantra is the main source. The general meaning of other tantras, such as the Yamari cycle, also aligns with this. Any specific aspects like blessings should be understood from the commentaries on their respective tantras. It is said: 'Most mantra holders of today's times, though adorned with rosaries, do not know the true meaning, desiring only to flaunt. The rosary itself is like a woman's ornament.' This is an intermediate verse. Explanation of the distinction between the ladle and the pouring vessel Third, regarding the classification of the ladle and the pouring vessel. In general, just as the fire offering is said to have outer, inner, secret, and unsurpassed aspects, the classification of the ladle and the pouring vessel should be explained in the same way. The outer ladle will be explained below. In terms of the inner aspect, it is said in the Samputa Tantra: 'The mouth is the Hum-syllable aperture, the hands are the pouring vessels.' Here, the two hands are considered as two vessels, which also applies to the outer explanation. In terms of the secret aspect, firstly, from the perspective of self-blessing mantras, the Samputa Tantra says: 'The pouring vessel is flesh and blood, the heart wheel is a single wheel, the ladle is spoken of as such, the fire pit is in the center of the navel.' Here, two channels are mentioned. Secondly, from the perspective of the Dharma wheel, the secret vajra is considered as the vessel. The Kriya Vajra says: 'The vajra is the ladle, the lotus is the Hum-syllable aperture.' Thus it is said. From the perspective of the unsurpassed practice of the fourth empowerment, or from the perspective of Suchness, the Vajra Dakini Tantra says: 'The ladle is Prajna, the pouring vessel is Lasana and Upaya, benefiting all sentient beings.' Here, the nature of the two channels is explained as skillful means and wisdom. The details of these classifications should also be understood in detail in the practice of their respective stages of the path. Here, we will explain the classification of the ladle and the pouring vessel needed for the outer fire offering, in three aspects: From which tantra is it taught? Who holds it? How is it held? First, it is taught in many tantras such as the Glorious Four Seats Tantra, the Vajra Dakini Tantra, the Dakini Ocean Tantra, the Wisdom Thigle Tantra, and the Six-Faced Tantra. Second, it should be held by those who have received the Vajra Acharya empowerment and possess vows and precepts. This is because others are not authorized to perform this activity. Third, including characteristics, symbolic meaning, and placement. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Regarding the ways of holding, there are four. The first concerns the materials: In the Forty-Eight Chapters of Vajra Dakini, it says: 'Gold or silver or bronze, like the trees being offered or natural things, arising from roots and so on.' Therefore, the materials can be gold, silver, copper, iron, or other metals, or made from wood such as neem. Regarding the size, there are three types: large, medium, and small. First, if made according to the large size: 'The handle is one and a half cubits plus eight fingers.' As stated in the 'Jewel Flame Sutra,' the mouth of the pouring vessel, its tip and width are eight fingers, or it can be eight fingers long and four fingers wide. In the center of the four-finger hole, there is a vajra with a tip and height of four fingers. On the top and bottom of this square, each side is made two fingers, totaling four fingers. The upper edge is made like a lotus petal, adorned with precious jewels. In the center of the lower lotus seat, the waist is slightly narrowed, surrounded by a beautiful belt. In the front, there is a hole the size of a thumb for dripping essence, and the place where the essence drips is made in the shape of a three-pronged vajra, with the central part being four fingers long, and the ends made into the horns of a vajra. This width is slightly inclined, including the place where the essence drips. The handle is one and a half cubits long, and at the end there is a six-finger five-pronged vajra, with a two-finger jewel at the top. These also correspond to what is said in the Forty-Eighth Chapter of Vajra Dakini: 'The top is made into a beautiful square, two fingers in size, with a base below, adorned with wisdom vajra, again four fingers in size above it, made like a lotus petal, that is the goddess's mouth, the size of a thumb, a vajra jewel six fingers, connected to the end of the handle.' The meaning of what is said above is also partially the same, but it mainly applies to the medium size. The mouth of the pouring vessel, its tip and width are six fingers, made like a lotus petal. Carve a hole that is three fingers wide and deep, and draw a vajra that is three fingers wide and long on it. The handle is one cubit long, and the end is decorated with a one-finger jewel and a three-finger vajra. As the 'Jewel Flame Sutra' says: 'The handle of the pouring vessel is one cubit long, six fingers long, and six fingers wide and deep, the three-finger vajra is like a lotus petal, a one-finger jewel and a three-finger vajra.' The Vajra Dakini also says: 'The mouth is like a lotus petal, two fingers long.' Before --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
