I shall perform actions such as 'two', accompanied by the reversed drumbeat. Also, I shall undertake the entrustment of fierce activities arising from the 'Great Praise'. Previously, accompanied by a deep chant, or playing the reversed music at the beginning of the protector's (Sanskrit: nātha, literally: protector) fulfillment ritual 'Dharmata Mother', and then inserting the reversed melody of 'Dharmata Mother' into two verses. The Blessed One (Sanskrit: śāstā, literally: teacher) said: 'In the final age of the five hundred, when the causes for the destruction of the Dharma arise, unite and protect it!' You have vowed to accept this command. Furthermore, please remember the vow to protect those who uphold the Sutras and Tantras, as well as the residents and residences. Now, in this degenerate age, due to people engaging in non-Dharmic conduct, famine, plague, bad years, and thieves, wars will prevail. The supports of the Three Jewels (Sanskrit: triratna) will be destroyed, the places of assembly for the Sangha will be taken away, the Sangha and its members will be destroyed, the lives of many beings will be taken, and practitioners will be especially persecuted. For such suffering of beings, if you do not provide protection, you do not possess great compassion. Humans and non-humans (devas, nagas, etc.), the armies of demons will cause beings to suffer, and such harm to the Dharma, have your eyes of wisdom not seen it? The cries of suffering beings, and the desperate cries of the Dharma holders, this cry echoing in all directions, have your unobstructed ears not heard it? If you have the unobstructed eye of wisdom, and the power to protect with compassion, for such suffering and harm, do you see it or ignore it? Everything depends on karma, and the karma of beings is difficult to change, but non-karmic disasters do not fall, so what is the use of protecting with compassion? When such a time arrives, not protecting the suffering of beings, and not cherishing the protection of the Dharma, have you forgotten the previous vows? Therefore, in order to protect the Dharma, for the harmful spirits and hordes of demons, if the unruly cannot be subdued by peaceful means, now is the time to subdue them with fierce means. In order to turn back the enemies who destroy the Dharma from sinful actions, now is the time to subdue them with the method of compassionate wrath, with fierce means. Therefore, great king, you, together with the princes and ministers, together with the army commanders, destroy the armies of the dark side! When the great king rides in the chariot, a great sound will be heard in the realms of gods and humans. When the great king goes on the road, all things will burn. Various ugly forms shake the peak of Mount Meru (Rirab). They rain down burning firewood like rain, and feed on flesh and blood. Their work is to take life with cruel means, even though you have power and ability. Please accomplish the task of cutting off the army of black demons from its roots. When you are wrathful with compassion, from the pores of your upper body, emanate Garudas (Kha Lding, mythical bird), vultures, owls, and vultures and other birds of prey, seize all the malicious beings wandering in the sky and throw them to the ground. Emanate countless terrifying forms, and draw all the malicious beings wandering underground from the depths of the earth to the surface. Let the messengers of the carnivorous beasts devour all the flesh and bones without leaving any remains. Your sons, powerful ones, named '自在' (Wangpo, Independent/Free), ninety-one in number. Possessing great power and miraculous abilities, now is the time for them to protect the Dharma. Your four most special sons, and the army of sixty billion Yakshas, all possess great power. Now is the time for them to protect the Dharma, your most outstanding son, surrounded by countless Yaksha retinues. Their armies are vast, their power is great, now is the time for them to protect the Dharma.
