Due to the interdependent arising of assembly, various external phenomena appear, and all those external phenomena appear as the four mandalas. They are contained within the inner body, and all of these are integrated into one's own ālaya consciousness, which is the object of purification. In short, all the causes and effects of samsara are the object of purification. Moreover, in the father (Yab) practice, Nāgpopa purifies womb-born, Lūhipa purifies egg-born, and Drilbupa directly purifies miraculously born. Here, all four modes of birth are purified simultaneously: the dharma-arising place in the heart, which is the second place of birth, the mother's womb; the moon is the father's semen. As stated in the Saṃpuṭi, the moon itself has a red glow, or the red glow center of the Bāṃ syllable is the mother's semen. The intermediate state of the Bāṃ syllable purifies womb-born. Furthermore, the five chakras purify the remaining modes of birth: the two dharma-arising places are the parents, the hidden place of egg-born is the moon with red parts, and the two bodhicittas. The Bāṃ syllable as mentioned before is the method of purifying egg-born. Rays of light radiate, becoming a mass of light, purifying moisture-born. Then, Jetsunma instantly arises, purifying miraculously born. Alternatively, becoming a mass of light purifies egg-born, because it is in accordance with the nature of the mass. It is said that this is the five Abhisambodhis of the expanded outer mandala, which also includes the five complete wisdoms of the fruit, that is, the generation stage itself contains the five Abhisambodhis, and the five wisdoms are: the mirror-like wisdom represented by the symbol of the moon, the equality wisdom of the mantra garland, the discriminating wisdom of the Bāṃ syllable, the accomplishing wisdom of radiating and withdrawing light, and the dharmadhatu wisdom of appearing as the deity. If it is actually complete, then the emptiness within the dharma-arising place is the enlightenment of the emptiness of dharmadhatu, the moon and red parts are the enlightenment of the seat lotus and sun, the mantra garland is the enlightenment of the words and syllables of speech, and when practicing the E-vaṃ image, the letter of the Bāṃ syllable is like the teeth of a curved knife, which is the enlightenment of the common implements. Appearing as the deity is the enlightenment of the complete body, these five are complete. Then, purifying and transforming the basis of others is the yoga of purifying sentient beings as will be described below. Transforming one's own basis is to manifest as the deity. The commentary says: After purifying one's own basis, rays of light radiate from the mantra garland, purifying sentient beings, and then manifesting as Jetsunma. Integrating them into one's own body, thereby transforming one's own basis. This is consistent with the view of Lūhipa. How to do it will be explained in the seventh chapter. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Kunmkhyen chenpo)

The actual deity of the generation stage, as mentioned above, is the self-generated Bhagavati Vajravarahi (the Diamond Sow) and so on. The collection of all deities is Vajrayogini. Here, there are outer, inner, and ultimate Vajrayoginis. Here, the definitive Vajrayogini is the non-elaborate Prajna (wisdom). To guide, the definitive Vajrayogini is manifested as a deity with form, face, and hand gestures. Therefore, the mother of all Buddhas who arise and enjoy is both: Dharmadhatu Prajnaparamita, the immaculate great bliss illusory body, is the mother of all Sugatas, the mother of selflessness. Prajnaparamita is non-dual, wisdom is the Tathagata. As it is said in the scriptures, 'It is what should be attained,' and so on. The inexpressible, inconceivable Prajnaparamita, etc., also refers to this. From the perspective of non-elaboration, it is Varahi, the mother of selflessness, the mother of Prajnaparamita, the Dakini of all Buddhas, etc., using various names to indicate the same meaning. The form body, the great bliss illusory body, is also established as the mother who enjoys. Such a form is a symbol of being unstained by the faults of samsara, various lotuses, and on the sun seat symbolizing the wrathful mother, the right leg representing the nature of skillful means (Thabs) great compassion extended, thereby suppressing the edge of nirvana; the left leg representing the nature of wisdom (Sherab) great bliss bent, thereby suppressing the edge of samsara—that is, suppressing the terrifying black night. This is to attain non-abiding nirvana, free from both extremes. Because of compassion, there is attachment to sentient beings, so the body color is red. Because of realizing that all dharmas are of one taste in Suchness (Tathata), it is single-faced. The two hands symbolizing the two truths (conventional and ultimate), symbolizing cutting and being in the process of cutting the conceptualizations of grasping at self and other, so the right hand holds a curved knife marked with a Vajra (diamond) purified of hatred, hanging downwards; in order to attain the state of great bliss for oneself, and also to place others in it, the left hand holds a skull cup filled with purified desire upwards, bringing it to the mouth to enjoy. The central eye is a symbol of purified ignorance. Symbolizing that skillful means and Bodhicitta are inseparable, so the Khatvanga is carried on the left shoulder. Because of knowing the three times, it has three eyes. Because the knot of universal clinging is untied, the black hair hangs down loosely. Because the qualities of the five wisdoms are complete, it has a crown of five skulls. Because the fifty Sanskrit alphabets (vowels and consonants) are purified, there is a necklace of fifty skulls. Although most texts say that dry skulls represent the letters of realization, in the case of a solitary mother Buddha, it is reasonable to use wet skulls.
