Whatever prayers have been made, it is said that in this degenerate age of Saha world, if one holds the names of the seven Tathagatas and makes offerings, one will receive benefits corresponding to the past aspirations of those Tathagatas. Kyabdro (Deliverance from Suffering) requested the Buddha himself as a witness, and explained in detail to Ananda how to offer to the Medicine King. This can also represent the ritual of offering to the other six Tathagatas. The second part is that the Buddha himself knew the thoughts of those gods, and as soon as he entered the Samadhi called 'Inciting all Buddha Lands,' the seven Tathagatas descended upon this Saha world seated on lion thrones, and everyone saw them sitting together with Shakyamuni Buddha. At that time, Manjushri, the questioner, requested the dharani that blesses the past aspirations of the seven Tathagatas. Then, these eight Tathagatas unanimously proclaimed the dharani called 'Vaiḍūrya Light,' and extensively explained the ritual and its benefits. After that, the gods circumambulated the Tathagatas seven times to the right and departed. The practice of circumambulating seven times is based on this sutra. The Secret Lord (Vajrapani), Indra, and the Four Great Kings saw the seven Tathagatas in person, believed deeply, and vowed to protect and rescue those who hold the names of the seven Tathagatas and the 'Vaiḍūrya Light' dharani, and made their vows. Their words are 'Agha Magha' etc. At that time, Vajrapani, with the seven Tathagatas as witnesses, explained his own heart mantra and the method of accomplishing Vajrapani. His mantra is 'Vajre Vajre' etc. The third part is that Manjushri asked how to offer to the seven Tathagatas in order to eliminate the calamities of planets and stars in the degenerate age, and to repel the armies of enemies, which is the first purpose. In order to restore the minds of all the Tathagatas and the consciousness seized by Yama, the terminator, so as to obtain longevity and other benefits, he requested the ritual of reciting the dharani one thousand and eight times, which is the second purpose. The fourth part is about what the meaning to be expressed is, which relies solely on the system of the sutra. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It tells of the ritual of offering to the seven Tathāgatas (梵文:Tathāgata,如来), and based on the common principles of Sutra and Tantra, the Dhāraṇī (梵文:Dhāraṇī) ritual that pleases the eight Tathāgatas (梵文:Tathāgata,如来) together with the Bodhisattvas (梵文:Bodhisattva). In particular, it explains the method of practicing Vajrapāṇi (梵文:Vajrapāṇi) based on both Sutra and Dhāraṇī. The twelve Yakṣas (梵文:Yakṣa) promised to protect the rituals of the Sutras, and the Secret Lord (Vajrapāṇi), Śakra (梵文:Śakra,帝释天), and the Four Great Kings (梵文:Caturmahārāja) promised to protect both the Sutra and the Dhāraṇī. Then, the Bhagavan (梵文:Bhagavān) entrusted this Sutra to these protectors. Secondly, the meaning of the need has been explained above. Thirdly, in terms of the meaning of the words: In this treatise, from the blessing of the earth to ascending to the sky and dwelling by means of miraculous powers, it was at the time when this Sutra was spoken in the past, in order to dispel the doubts of the sons of the gods with little wisdom, the seven Tathāgatas were invited to descend to this realm and dwell together with Śākyamuni Buddha (梵文:Śākyamuni). Mañjuśrī (梵文:Mañjuśrī) and Vajrapāṇi personally answered questions and blessed the meaning of the Sutra and the Mantra (梵文:Mantra), and it is based on this. Although this is the case, the words of inviting the Buddhas from Śākyamuni Buddha downwards are not directly related to the original text of the Sutra. ‘From the pure land of Bhagavan Amitābha (梵文:Amitābha) to the well-adorned land’ is largely in line with the original text of this Sutra. ‘From arranging the seven-jeweled palace, extremely blazing’ to ‘entering from no desire’ is not directly found in this Sutra, but it seems to be a quotation from the words in Asaṅga's (梵文:Asaṅga) Compendium of the Mahāyāna. In the center of those Buddha-fields, there is a palace-like form, fully endowed with characteristics, which is clearly explained in the Bhaiṣajyaguru (梵文:Bhaiṣajyaguru) Sutra. The words ‘may beauty arise’, ‘may it be enjoyed’, ‘may it be so’, etc., are not directly related to the original text of the Sutra. On the eight great lion thrones in the center of the palace, the eight Tathāgatas dwell, and on the brocade in the middle, the Bodhisattvas (梵文:Bodhisattva) dwell, which comes from the Guru-pañcāśikā (梵文:Guru-pañcāśikā). Placing the scriptures and laying out the seats for Mañjuśrī and the other holy beings are not directly related to the original text of the Sutra. Again, offering prostrations to the seven Tathāgatas. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
