Although the seven-branch offering is mentioned, there is no clear explanation of inviting the Jñānasattva there. Also, it is not necessary to have a Dharma book in the center of the palace and eight Tathāgatas around it, because neither the sutra nor the tantra texts say so. Moreover, in general, the tantric scriptures of secret mantras do not have the arrangement of the main deity and retinue in that way. Furthermore, some people, considering the meaning of 'the Dharma book is also placed,' arrange the Prajñāpāramitā deity as the main deity of the mandala, surrounded by eight Sugatas, which is also unreasonable. Because this arrangement does not appear in either the sutra or the tantra texts. If the Dharma book at that time refers to the Prajñāpāramitā Sutra, it is only a partial interpretation. However, both the sutra and the tantra clearly state that it refers to this very sutra. The Dharma book refers to the Dharma of the scriptures, and the Dharma that appears in the context of 'the true words of the Tathāgata' and so on should be explained as the dharmadhātu-prakṛti-viśuddha And the great mother (yum chenmo) who manifests it in the form of a body belongs to the Sangha jewel, so all three cannot be the main deity of the mandala here. Therefore, 'the Dharma book is also placed' means that in the center of the immeasurable palace (vimāna), eight great lion thrones are arranged in a row, and on each throne, a Tathāgata and a sutra book are placed. 'In between, the Bodhisattvas appear from the beginning' means that in the intervals and on the left and right sides of the eight lion thrones, the eight Tathāgatas are surrounded by their respective retinues, as described in the beginning. In front of those who are seated surrounded by the retinue, Mañjuśrī and the other three face inward and sit. 'For the third' means: first, the seat of the Tathāgata; second, the seat of the Bodhisattva; and third, on the right are Brahmā and others, and on the left are yakshas and others. The four gates are guarded by the four great kings, who are seated in a manner that protects this sutra and the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who uphold it. Furthermore, some others depict the mandala known as the Bhaiṣajyaguru-vimāna (药师佛宫殿,药师佛宫殿,bhaiṣajyaguru-vimāna,药师佛宫殿) with the Dharma book seated in the center and the deities facing outward, which is not in accordance with any tradition of sutra or tantra. However, as a way to accumulate merit, there is no conflict. Also, on the jeweled lion throne... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

‘The departed one, whose name is perfectly proclaimed, the glorious king,’ and so on. 4-748 In order to distinguish the differences in their respective seats, the names of the Tathāgatas are recited separately, not to generate the body of commitment, because immediately after it is said, 'the place where the seats gather.' Such a land, including the immeasurable palace, filled with a collection of offerings, is blessed. Where is it blessed? In front of the practitioner himself. By what is it blessed? By the compassion and aspiration of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. The reason for being able to bless is that the blesser has perfected the two accumulations, and the power of the Dharma realm of the blessed object being completely pure. The second is the act of inviting and making offerings, etc. First, the main deity and retinue mentioned above should be visualized as residing in the center of the immeasurable palace after being invited. Before being invited, only the seat is generated. At the moment of reciting the invitation words, it is said, 'On the eight great lion thrones, eight Tathāgatas reside,' and so on. Merely inviting the form body into the immeasurable palace does not accomplish the Mantrayana tradition, 4-749 as it appears in the 'Narrative of the Virtuous Girl of Magadha.' Those seven Tathāgatas, because they have not yet shown the manner of passing into Nirvana, are invited by the power of miraculous abilities. And the King of the Shakyas, because he has already shown the manner of passing into Nirvana in this realm, invites the form body that exists in other realms. For the Dharma Jewel, there are two types: the scriptural Dharma and the realized Dharma. It is sufficient to invite the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas themselves as the basis, because there is no need to invite the nature of the completely pure Dharma realm, so there is no mention of inviting the Dharma, etc. If it is appropriate to generate and draw the image of the Great Mother inside the immeasurable palace, then why are there no invitations, etc. for that? Therefore, it is necessary to consider that the Dharma Jewel to be placed in the immeasurable palace and the Dharma Jewel in 'the true words of the Tathāgata' are not the same meaning, because the former refers to the scriptural Dharma, and the latter refers to the Dharma realm. Therefore, performing offerings and prayers separately there is not the intention of the commentator.
