In the midst of many fully ordained monks worthy of reverence, the holder (name), who was twenty years old, on the thirteenth day of the waxing moon of the Saga month in the Fire Rat year, in the great hall of glorious Ewam Monastery, the source of many precious qualities, perfectly received the vows of a monk. After this holy being received full ordination, the Buddha's teachings and the white-sided deities would increase like the waxing moon, while the black side and the Asuras would diminish, and his fame would spread throughout the earth. From then on, he cherished the collection of moral discipline like the apple of his eye, and meticulously observed even the smallest aspects of the precepts, such as abstaining from meat, alcohol, and garlic. Moreover, without relying on external circumstances, through the power of his past good karma, his body, speech, and mind were peaceful and subdued, all his actions were endowed with mindful conduct, and the sweet fragrance of his moral discipline pervaded the entire earth. So I have heard. Furthermore, the way this holy guide went to listen to the Dharma at the feet of Je Tamche Khyenpa (Omniscient Lord) G lo bo khen chen (Great Abbot of G lo bo) Sonam Lhundrup was as follows: In general, this Omniscient Lord was an incomparable scholar and accomplished master, and in particular, he had the profound path of the Six-Branched Yoga of the glorious Kalachakra, transmitted from Jetsun Sakya Pandita. Intending to request this, he emulated Marpa Lotsawa's journey to Naropa, disregarding the difficulties of the road and the great distance, and went to Ngari Tod. As soon as they met, he was received with great joy, but because he had not practiced the Six Yogas extensively, he was not given the teachings. However, he was shown immeasurable kindness through various means of Dharma and material support. So I have heard. Furthermore, this holy being relied for a long time on the lotus feet of the descendant of the Sakya Khon lineage, the crown ornament of those who hold the saffron robes, the master of all fields of knowledge, the second Sakya Pandita Salo Jampai Dorje, who possesses the Samadhi capable of traversing countless Buddha-fields in a single moment. He was embraced with great affection and well guided by his body, speech, and mind activities, thus mastering all qualities such as scholarship, discipline, and virtue, as well as the three activities of teaching, debating, and composing. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This was because the Lama was regarded as a vessel for hearing the sacred Dharma, so those things that were not suitable for group explanations to others were given to him in the manner of teaching explanations. In particular, when giving a teaching of the Sakya tradition, 'You,' (referring to the Lama) with the empowerment of Lūhipāda, were given all the teachings, and by decree, he was appointed as the Vajra Master for the disciples of the All-Knowing One (Sakya Pandita). At all times, no matter how many gatherings of learned, virtuous, and excellent individuals there were, he was always regarded with a kind eye and a pleasant voice, and it was well-known that he was cherished with affection. 3-465 It is said that when the Sakya master was in Ngor, he went to the Ngor monastery library and, after looking at all the collections of cultural texts, said, 'You will surely be able to make use of these; take on this responsibility.' It is said that this prophesied that he would become the representative of Vajradhara Buddha, gain mastery over all cultural knowledge, and become the sacred guide for all fortunate disciples. Regarding how to rely on other spiritual friends: Those mentioned above were the ones with the greatest kindness. In addition, he relied on Je Rikhrodpa Kunga Chokden, Je Lhachok Senge, Choje Namkha Palzang, Jamyang Namkha Tenpa, and many other learned and accomplished Lamas, and received the complete teachings that unite all the profound meanings of Sutra and Tantra, including the Three Baskets, the empowerments of the Four Classes of Tantra, subsequent permissions, lineages, Sutra explanations, Tantra explanations, oral instructions, and so on, like a vast ocean of Dharma. For details, see the 'Great Record of Teachings, the Day of the Flourishing of the Buddha's Teachings.' 3-466 It is said that he did not leave the Dharma he heard merely at the level of hearing, but from the very beginning of hearing, he carefully examined the connection between the preceding and following words and the aspects of meaning with the wisdom of contemplation, thereby gaining a deep understanding that could not be taken away by others. Moreover, he kept the Dharma in his heart as if it were a lineage of practical experience passed down through generations. So it is said! How to achieve perfection through hearing and contemplation, and then practice meditation and realization Fourth, regarding how to achieve perfection through hearing and contemplation, and then practice meditation and realization: In general, this great being possesses the wisdom of freedom regarding all the acceptances and rejections of the path. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
