The venerable one smiled and said, 'You are an old man.' He was very pleased. This is an unparalleled auspicious coincidence for a good path in life. At that time, a good bronze bell was also given. Then, during one gathering, the venerable one said very happily, 'I currently have fifty taels of gold, which can be used as the foundation for establishing two monasteries, and for collating and publishing the Root Tantra and the Two Investigating Tantras.' In the year of the Sheep, various rituals were collated and published. In the summer of that year, he went to Salo Jampaling (Sa-lo 'Jam-pa'i-gling-khar). At the Spes monastery, during breaks from listening to the Dharma, the venerable one gave the transmission of the Sakya Kagyu (Sa-kya bKa'-'bum), the initiation of Vajrakilaya (rDo-rje Phur-pa), the generation of Bodhicitta according to the Madhyamaka (dBu-ma) school, the empowerment of Tsedwang Drupgyalma (Tshe-dbang Grub-rgyal-ma), the meditation recitation of Avalokiteshvara (sPyan-ras-gzigs), the common Guru Yoga, the praise of Sang Rinchen (rJe Sangs-rin) composed by Salo himself, and the transmission of the auspicious prayer of the Dharma protector composed by Minyak Drakdorwa (Mi-nyag Grags-rdor-ba), and so on, to the Sangha including himself. At that time, in the presence of Je Konchok Rinchenpa (rJe dKon-mchog Rin-chen-pa), he also received the initiations of Guhyasamaja Akshobhya (gSang-'dus Mi-bskyod-pa), Manjushri Vajra ('Jam-rdor), Guru (Gur), and the five deities of the Collected Lineage Red Yamari (Rigs-bsdus gShed-dmar Lha-lnga). Also, on one occasion, Je (rJe) threw the hat of a young monk of the same age into the toilet, and that young monk also threw Je's hat into the toilet. The venerable one reported this to the assembly including Sachen Kunchok (bDag-chen sku-mched), and Sachen Kunchok said, 'If you feel disgusted, don't wear that hat, wear mine.' Right there at that gathering, there is now a young monk called Gyakyewa (gyag khyer ba), who will become the owner of this monastery in the future.' He received a clear prophecy. He also sought Dharma connections from two Geshes (dGe-shes) Lodro Chokdenpa (Blo-gros mChog-ldan-pa) and Bhikshu Paljorwa (dGe-slong dPal-'byor-ba), who were proficient in root mantras and capable of bestowing blessings. Then, in the year of the Water Sheep, when he was fourteen years old, the venerable Sangye Rinchen (Sangs-rgyas Rin-chen) was invited to Thubten Namgyal (Thub-bstan rNam-rgyal) Monastery. For about four months, he bestowed the profound and extensive oral instructions of the Lamdre (Lam-'bras). Again, in the summer, he went to Jampaling (gling-khar) and received the following Dharma teachings: the complete guidance of all three categories of Chöd (gCod skor gsum) transmitted from Dopa (Do-pa), the Seven Points of Mind Training (Blo-sbyong don bdun khrid), the transmission of the Mind Training Notes (Blo-sbyong zin bris) composed by Drogon Pal Yewa ('Gro-mgon dPal Ye-ba), the subsequent permission of Red-Yellow Manjushri ('Jam-dbyangs dmar ser), and so on. In the eleventh month of that year... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Furthermore, led by the great vidyadhara Rinpoche Kunga Tashi Pa and his three brothers, to a sangha of about five hundred people, he bestowed countless profound and extensive Dharma teachings, such as the oral instructions. All these teachings were completely heard and received by this lord. From the venerable Sangye Rinchen Palsangpo, he received the blessings of the Dharma at different times. In short, from the venerable Sangye Rinchen Palsangpo, he received the blessings of the Dharma at different times, listening to the oral instructions including the Lamdre (Lamdre,道果) with its fruit twice, filling the mandala of his heart with vast teachings. In short, this venerable one, with countless kindnesses in both Dharma and worldly matters, cherished him like a loving mother nurturing her beloved child. For this very reason, the venerable Sangye Rinchen himself was extremely kind to this lord. And this lord himself, like Jowo Serlingpa, regarded the venerable one as the lifeline of his heart among all the lamas, cherishing him like an inseparable jewel on the crown of his head. All present secret and minor actions are undertaken without hesitation after constantly praying to and requesting prophecies from the venerable one, and there will be no mistakes. The main point of practice is also primarily the Guru Yoga. During the tenth-day offering of each month, he also continuously offered to the dakinis and thousands of Sangye Tenzin Mas, which I have personally seen and heard. Therefore, this lord undoubtedly has the power to freely master the special samadhi that does not deviate from the embodiment of the kind guru in all states of meditation and post-meditation. I have a firm and unwavering understanding of this. Also, during one occasion when he was residing in Lingka, he performed a complete retreat of Red-Yellow Manjushri (Jamyang Marser). Undoubtedly, there will be a firm sign of the blessings of the yidam. Then, on the tenth day of the eighth month of the Monkey year, the venerable Sangye Rinchen showed the manner of passing away to Sukhavati. That winter in Lingka, the great vidyadhara Rinpoche Kunga Tashi Pa gave the oral instructions at the gathering. The following year, when he was sixteen years old, on the tenth day of the second month of the Wood Female Mouse year, I... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
