In Sanskrit: Śrīvansangurubhaṭṭamañjughoṣaratnasamudrāyenamaḥ. In Tibetan: Homage to the glorious lama, the venerable Jampai Yang Konchok Gyatso! Konchok Tenpai Gyaltsen (Holder of the Banner of the Teachings of the Three Jewels), holding the precious words of the Buddha, The master of the vast ocean of activities, who has attained the blessings of the lineage, the protector of all beings in the three realms, in front of Rinchen Jampai Yang (Precious Gentle Voice), to the lotus feet of Konchok Gyatso (Ocean of the Three Jewels), we prostrate with heartfelt devotion. From the immeasurable biographies of the great being, I will only mention a few. With a mind of faith, I will elaborate on this shower of blessings, fulfilling all desires. May those who are fortunate listen with faith. Here, the venerable Dharma King Konchok Gyatso, the famous Yongdzin Dampa (The Holy Preceptor), the great master of the ocean of activities. Regarding where and from what kind of distinguished lineage he was born: The place where this great being was born is Magadha, a hundred yojanas north of Vajrasana Bodh Gaya, a land surrounded by glorious snow mountains. It is the snow land specially tamed by the holy Avalokiteśvara, the northern royal lineage that protects the Dharma, like great Sala trees passed down through generations, 3-340 With both peaceful and powerful laws, the banner of Dharma was raised high, and the entire region, including the great earth, was brought under its rule. The country was governed with the laws of Dharma, allowing the people to enjoy the pleasures of a prosperous age. This place is called Mus Nyamo Lingkya. The merits of this place can also be praised as: The land beautified by the pure dust of the feet of praiseworthy accomplished ones, the desire to manifest offerings to the Buddhas, as flat as a lush green meadow.
