May you receive the empowerment of the wisdom of discernment!' This is the fourth mudra empowerment. 'From today onwards, fortunate son, I empower you with the mudra of the karma family, may you receive the empowerment of the wisdom of diligent activity!' This is the fifth mudra empowerment. 'From today onwards, fortunate son, I empower you with the mudra of compassion and refuge, may you receive the empowerment to cross the ocean of activities!' This is the sixth mudra empowerment. The respective mudra empowerments were given in sequence. After that, in order to make the king capable and powerful, the empowerment of the five emblems was performed. First, the tiger banner was given, saying: 'From today onwards, fortunate son, I empower you with the tiger banner, just as the tiger subdues all wild beasts, may you, the king, subdue all the world!' This is the empowerment of the first emblem. 'From today onwards, fortunate son, I empower you with the great monkey banner, just as Hanuman subdues all monkeys, may you, the king, subdue all enemies!' This is the empowerment of the second emblem. 'From today onwards, fortunate son, I empower you with the vulture banner, just as the vulture subdues all birds, may you, the king, subdue all enemies!' This is the empowerment of the third emblem. 'From today onwards, fortunate son, I empower you with the jackal banner, just as the jackal subdues all wild beasts, may you, the king, subdue all enemies!' This is the empowerment of the fourth emblem. 'From today onwards, fortunate son, I empower you with the silk banner, may you, the king, be endowed with enjoyment and wealth!' The empowerments of the five emblems were given in sequence. After that, the great devotee was blessed with Om(藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:Perfected), Ah(藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:Arising), and Hum(藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Immovable), and the two, the teacher and the devotee, became the guru and the disciple. These are the essential points gathered from the introductory chapter of the oral transmission of the 'King White Crystal Rosary'. After that, concerning how this great Dharma protector went to Samye Lhunkyi Drubpa Temple, as mentioned above, it was after the incarnate King Trisong Detsen and his son destroyed the Bhatta Hor monastery and took away the possessions. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

以上详细讲述了庄严的桑耶寺(bsam yas lhun gyi grub pa'i gtsug lag khang chen po)及其护法神的来历,这篇名为《如意宝珠令护法神喜悦的迷人天乐,满足一切愿望》(chos skyong yid bzhin nor bu dges par byed pa'i yid 'phrog lha'i rol mo dgos 'dod kun 'byung)的著作,到此为止是讲述护法神来历的第二部分。

Subsequently, King Pehar (early Bon protector deity of Tibet) and his entourage arrived at Samye (the first monastery in Tibet) in a manner of following. Guru Padmasambhava (founder of Tibetan Buddhism) went to White Conch Island (Spe-dkar gling) and erected the statues of White Conch (Spe-dkar). He decreed that this Dharma protector (chos-skyong, protector deity of Buddhism) should be guarded by an outer symbol - a white animal, an inner symbol - a thick bamboo pole adorned with various silks and various yak tails, and a secret symbol - masks and tormas (mdos, a sacrificial food). They demonstrated the lineage originating from the White Conch Rosary (shel-phreng dkar-po), and the above described the origin of the supreme Dharma protector. Regarding the origin of the supreme Dharma protector, there are two accounts, the above being the latter, which fully narrates how it arises from the root and oral transmission lineages of King White Conch Rosary. The above has detailed the origin of the glorious Samye Monastery (bsam yas lhun gyi grub pa'i gtsug lag khang chen po) and its Dharma protectors. This work, entitled 'The Enchanting Celestial Music that Pleases the Dharma Protector Wish-Fulfilling Jewel, Fulfilling All Desires' (chos skyong yid bzhin nor bu dges par byed pa'i yid 'phrog lha'i rol mo dgos 'dod kun 'byung), concludes the second part, which narrates the origin of the Dharma protector. The following will elaborate on other topics arising from this. The third general topic is to elaborate on other topics arising from this. That is, the teachings of our teacher Shakyamuni Buddha (Zas gtsang sras po, son of King Suddhodana), in this degenerate age, most people lack the ability to contemplate the meaning of the scriptures and are in a state of ignorance towards any Dharma. However, some foolish teachers follow meaningless blind speculations, and many ignorant people say this: The current Great Dharma Protector of Samye (chos skyong chen po) is a powerful worldly autonomous spirit ('jig rten rang rgyud pa'i rgyal 'gong). To prevent him from causing harm, some people with a slight understanding of the profound Dharma view, some mediocre individuals who recite a few wrathful mantras (drag sngags), and various protective measures such as the king's effigy, as well as Bonpo exorcism rituals (rgyal mdos) and obstacle-clearing tormas (bgegs gtor), are needed to suppress him. They also say that the demon White Conch (spe dkar) subdued by Guru Padmasambhava when he tamed Samye is this Great Dharma Protector. I see that most people lacking discernment follow this claim. But these are very imprudent statements. In general, this Great Dharma Protector is the leader of all worldly arrogant beings, therefore, the Gyaltsen (rgyal btsan) and others belonging to his retinue... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ྱི་
