May this entire land of snow be filled with the pure activity of the Sakya school! May the compassion of the root gurus, the blessings of the peaceful and wrathful deities, and the power of the oath-bound protectors fulfill all the desires of my heart! This is a detailed explanation of the origins of the great and glorious Samye Lhunkyi Drupai Tsuklakang (bsam yas lhun gyi grub pa'i gtsug lag khang chen po), including its protectors, entitled 'The Wish-Fulfilling Jewel that Pleases the Dharma Protectors: The Captivating Celestial Music, Source of All Desired Things.' It was written by Sonam Wangpo (bsod nams dbang po), an emanation of Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo (jam dbyangs mkhyen brtse'i dbang po), and Drakpa Lodro (grags pa blo gros), the father, a hidden saint and mantra holder, an emanation of Gyaltsab Zhiwa Tso (rgyal tsab zhi ba mtsho). The sixth Vajrasattva (rdo rje sems dpa'), the embodiment of all Buddhas of the past, present, and future, the master of the mandala ocean, inseparable from Jetsun Muschenpo Dorje Chang Sangye Gyaltsen (rje btsun mus pa chen po rdo rje 'chang sangs rgyas rgyal mtshan), and many other meaningful gurus, whose feet are taken by Sakya novice, wise man, pandita, mantra holder Ngawang Kunga Sonam Drakpa Gyaltsen Palsangpo (ngag dbang kun dga' bsod nams grags pa rgyal mtshan dpal bzang po), from the glorious Samye Lhunkyi Drupai Tsuklakang, at the request of its chief protector, the great yaksha king Tse'u Marpo (rtse'u dmar po), also known as the protector of the Sakya school's activities, Putra Marpo (pu tra dmar po), the great protector of Samye, whose secret name is Kunkhyab Dorje Drakpo Tsal (kun khyab rdo rje drag po rtsal), and at the strong urging of Khenchen Rabjampa Sonam Wangchuk (mkhan chen rab 'byams pa bsod nams dbang phyug).
