Then he returned to Tibet and gave it to Mes ston chen po and others. Mes ston gave it to 'Khon sgyi chu ba dgra lha 'bar. He gave it to the great Sakya pa, and it is said that the lineage was broken from Je Sa chen himself. Also, Marpa Lho brag pa himself gave the teachings to gzhung gi rngog ston chos kyi rdo rje, and this lineage has been unbroken to this day. Regarding the documents related to this, there is 'grel pa rin po che'i rgyan by rngog chos rdor, rin po che'i rgyan 'dra by his student, a commentary by Mes ston chen po, a commentary by ram sding ma ba sangs rgyas 'byung gnas rdo rjes, a commentary by lcang ston blo gros grags, a commentary by rngog thogs med grags, and a commentary by ru mtshams kyi skyob pa ag skyo bhyas. In addition, there are countless collections of documents such as the initiation rituals for ripening, the six-branched sadhana, and the instructions for transference of consciousness in the completion stage. It is said that this is a complete system of the path. Furthermore, there is what is known as the Kye rdo rje dpal lugs, which he heard from Lama Pham thing pa and his brothers, so it belongs to the tradition of Jo bo na ro ta pa, and therefore it is not mentioned separately from Marpa in terms of lineage. The second lineage of oral instructions is the one that came from the yogi Birupa to the eastern Black Practitioner. How many documents there are related to this will be shown below. Identifying the Extraordinary Tradition Among Those Traditions Third, identifying the extraordinary tradition among those is: it is the last of the eight great precepts. So, what is the reason that this precept is extraordinary or superior to other paths? It is superior in terms of how it relies on the tantras, how it explains the tantras, and the oral instructions that come from the explanations. First, it is superior in terms of how it relies on the tantras. Because some of the previous paths seem somewhat incomplete because they do not rely on the tantras; some, although they rely, do not seem to rely completely on the root and explanatory tantras. But this one relies on the root, explanatory, and subsequent tantras. If one thinks that the previous ones did not rely completely on the three tantras, but only relied on the root or explanatory tantras, because they did not need to rely, then that is not the case, but one should rely on the three tantras. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Therefore, the reason is that the Fundamental Tantra only has a brief explanation of the generation stage and the completion stage, while the Vajra Tent Tantra explains the generation stage in detail, and the Sambhuta Tantra explains the completion stage in detail. Therefore, it is necessary to rely on all three tantras. 3-11 Second, in terms of the way of explaining the tantras, it is distinguished by the fact that some explain according to the practice methods of the tantras, and some explain the practice methods as tantras, and so on. Here, the tantra is explained as the tantra itself. That is, 'Six instructions and three tantras, three purities, three self-natures, seven secrets, four abidings.' It is explained in a way that possesses the meaning of these words. Third, in terms of the instructions that arise after the explanation, it is distinguished by the fact that here there is a classification of fifty-seven realisations divided into three realisations arising from the integration of the intentions of the three tantras, and there is a treatise like the 'Jewel Tree' to explain it. In order to understand the general classification of sects or schools, it is necessary to enter into the explanation of common treatises. Such treatises were not spoken by even the early masters, and even if they were spoken, they would not appear. The fourth general meaning, the way to determine it itself, is fourfold: In order to understand the general classification of sects or schools, it is necessary to enter into the explanation of common treatises; in order to determine practice and experience, it is necessary to enter into the uncommon stages of instructions; 3-12 In order to elaborate on these and eliminate wrong views, it is necessary to enter into the detailed distinction of the three vows; integrating the intentions of these, determining the stages of the three mixed paths. First, entering the common order of treatises, as it appears in the catalogue of treatises, is to hear and think about the collections of treatises belonging to the twenty-eight types of treatises summarized by four necessities. The four necessities are: the general need for the tantras, the individual needs for the three tantras, the general need for the pudgala (Tibetan: གང་ཟག, Sanskrit Devanagari: पुद्गल, Sanskrit Romanization: pudgala, Chinese literal meaning: person), and the need for the hidden practitioner. The twenty-eight treatises are: seven treatises needed for the general tantras, six treatises needed for each of the three tantras, fourteen treatises needed for the general pudgala, and one treatise needed for the hidden practitioner. The first of these, the seven treatises, are: fragments of the tantra class... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
