Visualize the deity blazing like a butter lamp, clear in the nature of the Great Seal. In the positions of the five chakras, visualize the deities in the forms of Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya, Nirmanakaya, Further Nirmanakaya, and Nearest Nirmanakaya, respectively. Clearly visualize Samantabhadra, Vajrasattva, Garab Dorje, Shri Singha, and one's own root gurus with their consorts. Their appearances and attire are mostly as described in the texts. The root guru also appears to be in the attire of Orgyen Tulku Heruka. Although the hand symbols are not clear, it seems that there is no contradiction whether they hold a vajra and a skull cup, or a skull drum and a bell. Also, for their retinue, the Dharmakaya has the Victorious Ones' Intent Transmission, the Sambhogakaya has the Vidyadhara Symbolic Transmission, and the Nirmanakaya has the Yogi Oral Transmission, starting from the root guru. Visualize all the Kagyu gurus like dense clouds. All the retinue of the Nirmanakaya are in Heruka attire, transforming into various postures of great bliss. They are also clear and transparent, like a string of various jewels threaded inside a crystal vase, free from obstruction and attachment to appearances, without any narrowness, and residing in spaciousness. At this point, some say whether it is permissible to practice the root guru in secret. This is because they have not directed their minds to the meaning of establishing the view of mantra as the great equality of pure appearances and existence. Especially here, in the city of the Vajra Body, in the mandala of the complete dwelling place, in order to purify the five aggregates, the five poisons, and the collection of consciousnesses into the essence of the five bodies and five wisdoms, the five seals of the body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities of the secret gathering of the guru are, outwardly, the guru yoga; inwardly, the subtle deity of the generation stage; secretly, the deity of the completion stage of illusion; and very secretly, the yoga of the deity appearing as the great union. They are making a commotion because they have not gained certainty in this. As it says in the Confession of the Space of View: Samantabhadra has no good or bad, How foolish to see purity and impurity! How confused to grasp at good and bad! And: In the space of the Mother, there is no high or low, How foolish to see above and below! How confused to grasp at high and low! As it is said, they have become objects of compassion. The main

In the four directions are four wheels with spokes, the four families of Hayagriva, the four sow consorts, and their union, adorned with charnel ground ornaments, blazing with their own characteristic mudras. At the four gates are the dakinis of the four families, with activity colors, holding curved knives and skull cups, performing the mudra of dance. The fourteen root deities, father and mother, and the ten branch deities, father and mother, totaling twenty-four, are the main deities of the palace. Furthermore, the heroes and yoginis of the dwelling place, and the inconceivable hosts of vidyadharas, pervade the inner and outer courtyards, the lotus stamens, and the charnel grounds, abiding there. At the three places of all the main and surrounding deities, from the clear letters of the three vajras, rays of light radiate throughout space, and from the natural abode and the eight great charnel grounds, etc., all the mandala deities of the guru, the three roots, are invited like dust motes in sunbeams, mixed into indivisibility, and the procedures of prostration, offering, and praise are performed as they appear in the texts. Regarding this, if one already has a firm conviction of the indivisibility of the samaya and wisdom beings from the beginning, it is fine not to do the invitation and welcoming specifically. However, if one views the deity and one's own mindstream as different, it is for the sake of destroying that view, so making the firm ascertainment of the indivisibility of the samaya and wisdom beings is the essential point. Prostration, offering, and praise are all categories of offering. And regarding the way of making offerings, from one's own heart arise inconceivable emanated goddesses. These emanate vast clouds of outer, inner, and secret offerings, pleasing oneself by offering to oneself, like the gods of delight enjoying desirable objects. Or, all the desirable objects that exist in the ten directions of the world are transformed into the nature of outer, inner, and secret goddesses such as Rupavajra, and these emanations, according to their respective functions, arrange limitless doors of great mudra samadhi corresponding to the offering mudras, and by offering with the distinction of skillful means, the wisdom of bliss and emptiness is manifested, deities playing with deities, like a bee enjoying the essence of a flower. Or, from the heart of the main deity, a Heruka holding the aspect of one's own ripening part extends out and arrives at the east gate of the mandala, and emanates clouds of offerings in the manner of performing complete prostrations.
