In order to introduce the specialty of Dzogchen, there are two: the preliminary practices and the introduction to one's own nature, showing the Dharmakaya nakedly. First, there are four stages of preliminary practices. First, regarding the ordinary appearances and attachments of body, speech, and mind, like someone with vomiting sickness seeing food, aversion arises, and one naturally abides in non-conceptual samadhi. This is the separation of samsara and nirvana. In a secluded place, offer a white torma to the local deities and pray for your wishes. On the crown of your head, visualize your own body as a blue vajra with five points, flames blazing, and pray to the lama. Visualize the lama dissolving into light and merging into yourself. Remain in a state of equality for a moment without fabrication. Initially, symbolically separate the three—body, speech, and mind—and then bind them into one bundle, which is the main practice of the lamas. That is, contemplate that all the সুখ and suffering experiences of the six realms of beings are experienced in your own mind-stream. Make all kinds of movements with the body, such as jumping, running, walking, and standing still. Utter various sounds with the mouth, using them freely without restraint, until you are exhausted and all movements become blurred, then relax, observe the nature of after-awareness, and rest. Again, with the body, make the postures of the peaceful and wrathful deities of the Sugatas, and with the mouth, utter the sounds of mantras. Clearly visualize these forms in the mind as much as possible, and try to grasp onto the ego. Then, emanate offering goddesses from your heart, make one offering and one mental praise, and finally dissolve the generation stage and meditate sequentially, then relax and maintain your own nature. Occasionally, also search for the mind, which is the pith instruction passed down from the accomplished masters. Second, purify obscurations. At the crown of your own body, there is the seed syllable A (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal meaning: None) of the god realm, white, black. At the throat, there is the seed syllable Su (Tibetan: སུ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सु, Sanskrit Romanization: su, Literal meaning: Good) of the Asura realm, yellow, black. At the heart, there is the seed syllable Nri (Tibetan: ནྲི་, Sanskrit Devanagari: नृ, Sanskrit Romanization: nṛi, Literal meaning: Man) of the human realm, blue, black. At the navel, there is the seed syllable Tri (Tibetan: ཏྲི་, Sanskrit Devanagari: त्रि, Sanskrit Romanization: tri, Literal meaning: Three) of the animal realm, red, black. At the secret place, there is the seed syllable Pre (Tibetan: པྲེ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: प्रे, Sanskrit Romanization: pre, Literal meaning: Love) of the preta realm, green, black. At the sole of the left foot, there is the seed syllable Du (Tibetan: དུ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: दु, Sanskrit Romanization: du, Literal meaning: Two) of the hell realm, smoke-colored. Contemplate that the habitual tendencies of each of the six realms are inherently present in these places, like smoke rising from a coal pit. The purifying agents are the three wisdom vajras of awareness: at the crown of the head is white Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओं, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Literal meaning: Om), at the throat is red Ah (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Literal meaning: Ah), and at the heart is blue Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum), radiant

I contemplate the blazing light. Through the recitation of the three syllables, from that light, the fire of wisdom blazes with its own light, and all six syllables, along with their habitual imprints, are burned into nothingness. Purifying all the causes and effects of samsara and the lower realms, I imagine my body as clear as a polished crystal ball. I recite the three syllables Om (Tibetan: ཨཱོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om), Ah (Tibetan: ཨཱཾཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Ah), and Hung (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Hung). At that time, I imagine that, just as I am, fire blazes from the syllables in the three places (body, speech, and mind) of all sentient beings, and the six seed syllables are burned, and I recite them. The third part is the three preliminary practices. First, in terms of the body, bring the soles of the feet together, join the hands in prayer at the crown of the head, and visualize a five-pronged vajra, like a great Uru-Uru fire blazing, and meditate on it. The second part has four aspects. Among them, first, with the teeth and lips barely touching, mix the wind, consciousness, and the three Hungs (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Hung) into one, and sing a long and melodious song of Hung, imagining that many Hung syllables emerge from within your mouth, and all external appearances are naturally filled with Hung. Again, recite Hung as before, imagining that the external Hungs enter through the nostrils without obstruction, and the entire inside of the body is filled with fire. Second, reciting a strong and powerful Hung, imagine a dark blue Hung syllable blazing with fire, making a boiling sound, corresponding to the size of the object, and all external objects, large and small, are pierced through, up, down, left, and right. And, imagine that Hung pierces your entire body like a net woven from horsehair, without any gaps. Third, erect a target object in front, like a small branch, and verbally utter a long and melodious dark blue Hung sound, about a span high, imagining that a dark blue Hung syllable appears clearly in your heart, from which a continuous rosary of Hung syllables emerges. Gradually wind it from the base of the target object, and rest when it reaches the top. Again, gradually unwind it, gather it inward, dissolve it into the Hung syllable in your heart, and then rest. Fourth, unite your body, breath, and mind into the form of a blue Hung syllable, imagine entering a path like a worm crawling forward, pausing slightly at the bends. Imagine reaching the distant and boundless other shore, utter a long Hung sound, and rest naturally. Again, return as before, stay in your original position, and then rest. Alternatively, verbally recite Hung
